Hearing Is Conducted In City Court Today A hearing on charges of disorderly conduct and assault and battery against Alex Romero, 24, and Roy Yruegaa, >6, was conducted in city court this morning. They were charged with attacking Fred Espanosa last Saturday night. Romerp entered a plea of guilty to the charges and the matter of sentencing was taken under advisement by Mayor Robert Cole. Y ruegas entered a plea of not guilty and bis case was continued. The two men stated that they attacked Kspanoza because he was dating Romero's sister, Minerva. They said they objected to this since Espanosa is married. Berne Firm Supplies Furniture At Show A house designed for Indiana climate, with furniture made In Indiana and decorated by a committee from the Indiana chapter of the American institute of decorators is the centerpiece at the 31st Indianapolis home show to be held April 13 to 22 in the state fairgrounds. The Dunbar furniture company of Berne is supplying the furniture for every room in° the houee, and Harold F. Halts is chairman of the decorator's committee. Linn Grove Lions Sponsor Contest An amateur talen contest, sponsored by the Linn Grove Lions club, will be held Friday night, April 29, at Hartford High school gymnasium, officers of that organization announced today. Firemen Called As Fan Is Overheated Decatur firemen were called to the home ot Byron Smith at 356 Winchester street at 4:30 a. m. today when a blower fan on the furnace became overheated. April 30 Deadline For Wool Growers Incentive Payment Deadline April 30 Wool growers are reminded to get their applications for payment under the wool program to the county ASC office before May 1, if they want to get their incentive payment this year. The reminder comes from Oscar T. Brown, chairman of the Adams county agricultural stabilisation and conservation committee. According to the chairman, wool sales made after March 31. 1955 and before April 1, 1956 are eligible tor payment this year provided the application for payment with the necessary supporting information Is filled before May 1. Wool growers are urged to be especially careful about providing the required sales record when submitting applications. The sales record for shorn wool must show name and address of buyer, date of sale, name and address of producer, net weight of wool sold, and net proceeds to producer after normal deductions. Those who market lambs and yearlings for slaughter must provide bill of sale with the name and address of slaughterer; date of sale; name and address of seller; and number, description and net live weight of animals sold. They also must certify that the animals were purchased for slaughter, and that they had or had not been shorn at the time of sale. 80-day ownership is required to ba eligible for payment. Wool growers are reminded that as a result of the favorable vote in the' referendum last August a one-cent per pound deduction will be made from wool payments and 5 cents per hundred pounds from lamb and yearling payments to finance the campaign to enlarge the market for wool and lamba Based on current estimates, the payment will probably be about 40 percent of the average price received for the wool.
