Woman Seized After Setting Capital Fires Set Series Os Fires In White House And Executive Mansion WASHINGTON '(INS) —A “confused," middle-aired woman who set a aeriea of tire small liras in the White House and the executive office building Tuesday is under psychiatric examination today in a Washington hospital., s The woman, who identified herself to the secret service as Mrs. Julia M. Chase, began her pyromanlaca! spree at 10:30 a. m. (RST) in the historic Red Room of the executive mansion and ended it four and one-halt hours later by trying to set another fire while in the hands of guards. She readily admitted starting the biases in the executive mansion and the nearby office building, explaining that she "had a lot of trash and just wanted to burn it” None of the fires did any serious damage. All of them were discovered and extinguished almost immediately. Guards who questioned the worn- —. an. said she told them she was born in Hagerstown, Mds. on May 14, 1902, but that she didn't know where she lived at present. The organization is being promoted with the assistance of many music lovers of the county. The concert program will not be announced until after the membership drive and all members will have the opportunity to vote for the concerts they would like to attend. However, it was pointed out that all of the artists available under the concert service are of national and international reputation. The programs will feature a variety of vocalists, pianists, violinists and small instrumental ensembles. Regardless of the membership total, at least three concerts are guaranteed but if the budget permits four or five will be planned.
