SWEEPING JURY (Continued from rase Ono), Hugo Black wrote vigorous dissents. Douglas declared that Tn order to be valid, an immunity statute must give complete protection from “all perils against which the constitfftional prohibition (the fifth amendment) was designed to guard.” Dopglas and Black disagreed with the majority by declaring that immunity from prosecution does not free a witness of all “disabilities.” He said: “These disabilities include ineligibility for employment in the federal government and in defense facilities, disqualification for a passport, the risk of internment, the risk of loss of employment as a longshoreman—to mention only a few.” Douglas declared also that “any forfeiture of rights as result of compelled testimony is at war with the fifth amendment.’* If you have something to eell or rooms for rent, try a Democrat Want Ad. Synagogue Ceiling Falls, Three Hurt Women Injured In Bronx Synagogue NEW YORK (INS) — Three women were injured, two critically, today when a section of ceiling collapsed “with the roar of an earthquake” during Passover services in < Bronx synagogue. Fortunately, only 80 worshipers were in the Orthodox Yeshivah and Meslvtz Sichron Moshe congregation. When Passover began at sundown Monday night more than 1,200 persons were in the temple. Plaster and other debris fell into the balcony occupied only by women in an Orthodox synagogue where men sit separately on the main floor. Max Weisen, <7. a lay reader for the congregation, who was intoning part of the service at the time, said: “1 was standing in the middle of the pulpit in front of the Torahs when all of a sudden I heard noises like an earthquake. Women were screaming in the balcony. The ceiling, as if bombed, came tearing down. For a moment I could visualize the people actually being bombed.
