BARBARA JEAN KELLEY WEDS RALPH BUBBE Miss Barbara Jean Kelley recently became the bride of Ralph Eugene Busse with the double-ring ceremony being performed by the Rev. O. C. Busse at the St. Paul church parsonage in Preble. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. William Kelley of route three, Decatur, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul O. Busse of route two, Decatur, are the bridegroom’s parents. The bride was attired in a powder blue suit with navy accessories and a corsage of red roses. Mrs. Paul Busse, Jr., sister-in-law of the bridegroom, attended the bride as matrpn-of-honor in a light brown suit with beige accessories and a corsage of red roses. Paul Busse. Jr„ brother of the bridegroom, attended as beet man. A reception was held at the home of the bridegroom's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.. Fred Busse, following the ceremony. The bride is a graduate of Monmouth high school and is presently employed at the First State Bank. Her husband was graduated from Decatur high school and is employed at the General Electric. Mr. and Mrs. Busse are residing on route two, Decatur. PAUL E. HENSEL TO BPEAK TO ADAMS CENTRAL P. T. A. ~ i Paul E. Henkel, vice-president of personnel administration of the Central Soya company in Fort Wayne, will speak at the Adams Central P. T. A. meeting Monday, honoring all the Adams Central basketball teams. Hensel was a high school basketball coach and athletic director at Gibson City, ill., for ten years and was on the coaching staff ait he University of Michigan for two years prior to his present position with Central Soya. At 7:30 o'clock the group will adjourn to the gymnasium where Hensel will speak on “I Dare You to be a Champion.” BUSINESS MEETING IS HELD BY XI ALPHA XI SORORITY XI Alpha Xi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met at the home of Mrs. Nils Neil for their regular business meeting Tuesday evening. The opening ritual was repeated and Mrs. George Bair read communications from international. The chapter received a thank you note from international for having donated to the endowment fund. A slate of officers was presented to the group and accepted. They were: president, Mrs. Nila Neil; vice-president, Mrs. Vernon Custer; secretary, Mrs. James Elberson; treasurer, Mrs. George Bair£ extension officer, Mrs. Francis Ellsworth; representative to city council, Mrs. Lula Fruchte; and alternate, Mrs. Glen Hill. During the meeting Mrs. Otto Beehler was welcomed into the sorority as a new member. Mrs. Fredrick Striker was a guest at the meeting. During the social hour the hostess served refreshments in keeping with the St. Patrick's day theme. BIRTHDAYS CELEBRATED WITH SUNDAY DINNER Sunday marked the 46th birthday of Theodore, Bleeke and the 12th birthday of a daughter, Dorothy Jean Bleeke. A birthday dinner was held and the afternoon was spend in taking pictures, playing games, and visiting. The hontored guests reoeived many gifts. After the business meeting Mrs. Corah showed moving pictures of a former Delta Lambda party. Refreshments were then served by the hostess. $ Mrs. Ralph E. Roop will entertain the Decatur home demonstration club Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Adams county chorus will meet Monday evening at 7:30 o’clock at the Farm Bureau building in Monroe. The Pythian Sister Needle clhb recently held a St. Patrick’s day party at the K. of P. home? The tables were decorated in white and green. Mrs. Frank Crist won the door prise and games were played. A lovely lunch Was served in keeping with the St. Patrick’s; day theme by the hostesses, Bessie Beehler, Ellie McGill, and Helen Schnepp. Mrs. L C. Shackelford was found dying Wednesday night with six bullet holes in his body. Residents of the area, who said.
