Indications are that the highest percentage of graduates in the history of the two schools will continue next year in various colleges. 0 -0 • The Stratton Place Community association has offered to bear the biggest share of cost for construction of a shelter house at the city park located in the popular Decatur residential area just east of the river. The shelter bouse would' be used for picnies and other events scheduled in the Stratton place city park from early spring until late fall. The directors of the association will present their offer to the city at the next council meeting. —0 o The Grocery Manufacturers of America, Inc. has issued a statement attempting* to ’ Explain the continued high retail cost of meats and groceries in the face of declining farm prices. The annual missionary convention of the Antioch United Missionary church, which opened Wednesday, will close Sunday evening. Rev. Hostetler, of Goshen, former pastor at the Antioch church, will apeak at 7:30 o’clock this evening and at the concluding service at 7:30 p. m. Sunday. He spent one term of -service doing missionary work tn the Dominican Republic and also made a tour of Haiti. Rev. Brenneman, for the past eight years a missionary in Nigeria, will speak at the 10:30 a. m. service Sunday: He is a graduate of Goshen high school and Goshen College. He will speak on “Idol Worship" and show a series of slides on the work of the United Missionary church in Nigeria.

Special Services At Baptist Church Plan Evangelistic Services For Week A week of evangelistic services will begin Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the First Baptist church in Decatur. The Otev. William F. Rae of fitouffville, Ontario, Canada, will be the evangelist. Rev. Rae, a Baptist, was formerly a missionary to China under the auspices of the China Inland Mission. Sinee returning to Canada, he has been engaged in the field of evangelism. His messages will emphasise faith in Christ, and victorious Christian living. Rev. Rae was the guest minister at Spiritual Emphasis Week services in Decatur last fall. Mrs. Stuart Brightwell will be the song leader for the services. had additional study at low* State Teacher’s College and at Northern Baptist Seminary in Chicago. Mrs. C. E- Bell will be organist for the services, and Duane Seiple of Pleasant Mills will be the pianist. The church choir will present a special number at each service, and there w|ll be vocal and instrumental Soloists for each service. The evening services during the week will h*Ve special emphasis. Monday will be “Bring a Friend’’ night; Tuesday will be “Bunday School” night; Wednesday — “Family” night; Thursday will be “Missions” night; and Friday will be “Youth” night. “The Five Teens” from Pleasant Mills high school drill provide special music for the Friday night service.
