MARCH MEETING 18 HELD BY HOME DEMONSTRATION CLUB The March meeting of the Happy Homemakers home demonstration club was held at the home of Mrs. Earl Harmon Tuesday evwning Mrs. Kermit Parrish gave the history of the song of the month. "Wearing of the Green.” Mrs. George Thomas led the group in repeating the club collect. Scripture was read and prayer offered by Mrs. Harmon. "Disguising Your Figure,” was very interesting leeson presented to the group by Mrs. Gale Cook and Mrs. Clifford Roe. "Safety in the Home” was given by Mrs. JmeMon Wagley. The business meeting was conducted by Mrs. George Thomas. Roll was called and minutes read and approved. The following special meetings were announced: QUfirh 20, “Teactflng Religion iu Home,” from 1 uatil 3 o'clock, titarch IJ, council meeting with pothick dinner at noon, from 9 until 3 o'clock. Both meetings will bo held in the co-op building at Monroe. 7 The i hostess, assisted by Mrs. Floyd Mitchel, served refreshments to the group. The April meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Dwight Schnepp. Members are urged to attend this meeting and if anyone is not able to attend she Is asked to notify the hostess. 42 ATTEND MEETING OF HOME DEMONSTRATION CLUB The St. Mary's township home demonstration elub met Tuesday evening at the Bobo school house. The meeting was conducted by the president, Mrs. Carl Frey. Mrs. Patil Rich gave the devotions and the elub creed was repeated in unison. Forty-two members were present for the meeting. Plans were made for a tour May 3, to the wooden shoe festival at Spencerville. Mrs. Leland Ray gave a report on the trip to Florida to be taken by the combined chorus April 2. Mrs. ißichard Mailand and Mrs. Harry McDermott presented an interesting lesson on “Knowing Your Figure Faults," and Mrs. Ben McCullough gave the safety lesson. V,Mr». Paul Spangler was welcomed into the club as a new member had the door prize was awarded to Allen Mailand. Guests at the meetW were Mrs. Harry Daniels, Mrs. Mesdames Paul Rich, Ira Jaokson, Glen Mann. Walter Koos, and Ed Koos. * I vSt ' DELTA THETA TAU 80R0RITY HOLDS MEETING RECENTLY ,The Delta Theta Tau sorority bhld a meeting Tuesday evening a) the home of Mrs. Leland Smith Mrs. Lyle Mallonee conducted the business-»iee ting and a donation was made to the local Red Cross. Final plans were then completed for th# -spring style show "Walk A’round the Clock,” with eight local stores, Gass's, Niblick's, Lord's, Blackwells, Kiddie Shop, apd the Why store, showing their new spring apparel. Local residents will also participate as models Tickets are priced at S 5 cents and are available from all members and also at the door. Any group or persons desiring tickets are asked : to cap Mrs. Lyle Mallonee, Mrs- ' Robert Colter, or Mrs Cliff Brewer. MRS. HOLLIS BONIFAS HOSTESS TO MEETING A recent meeting was held by j the Church Mothers study club at the home of Mrs. Hollis Bonifas, with 19 members and two guests pteeent. The meeting was opened With the club song and devotions were "given by Mrs. Eunice Parker.
