Pennsylvania railroad crossing west to Thirteenth street There are several deep ruts on the south side of the street. State highway repairmen have filled in the deepest deflections, but the patch material soon is scattered into the street and onto the sidewalk. The stamps are mailed annually to citlhens of Adams county by the Society For Crippled Children. Profit from the sale is used in the work of rehabilitating both children and adults suffering from crippled limbs. It is a worthy work and much has been done in our generation for many people whom disease has dealt unkindly with, but whom our citizens deal kindly with, through purchase of the Easter Seals. U p ..Carl Gerber, Retail Division chairman and Lyle Mallonee, veteran chairman of the annual Spring Festival, will serve as cochairmen of the event this year which will be staged the first week of June. The F. E. Gooding Amusement Go., largest operator of carnival rides in the world, will bring several rides to Decatur to enliven the midway. Preliminary plans for the big approaching event will be announced soon, Chairman Mallonee has announced. 0 fl As a protective measure to residents of the Decatur area, the Retail Division of the Chamber of _Commerce jryi not endotse any solicitations for services or advertising or house-to-house sales of merchandise or services to any person not a resident of Adams county.
