MISS PHYLLIS GERKE HONORED AT SHOWER A miscellaneous shower was gfv* en Friday in honor of Miss PhyIlia Clerke at the home of Miss Dorothy Schnepf. The hostess was assisted by Miss Eloise Noil and Miss Helen Mowery. Mias Oerke was presented with a corsage of yellow jonquils upon her arrival. Games were played and refreshments were served from a table decorated with yellow jonquils, white snapdragons, and yellow candles. The honored guest received many gifts. Those present for the affair included Mrs. Winfred Oerke, Miss Shirley Gerke, Mrs. Bonnie Zimmerman, Miss Pat Ziipmerman and the General Electric office girlsEVERREADY CLASS HOLDS MEETING RECENTLY The Everready class of the Methodist church met recently in the church lounge and the meeting opened with group singing. Stucky, who served refreshments during the social hourMRS- ERWIN FUELLING ENTERTAINS CLUB i Mrs. Erwin Fuelling recently entertained the Merry Matrons home demonstration club with Mrs. Ed Gerbers, chairman, opening the meeting. Mrs. Delmore Thieme gave the history of the song of the month and led the group in singing “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot." The club collect was recited in unison. Mrs. Louis Krueckeberg and MrsOtto Thieme presented the lesson "Know Your Figure Faults." which led to an interesting discussion of the various figure problemsThe club voted to give a contri-. button to the heart fund and the Red Cross. Following the short business meeting, the members spent the remainder of the evening making cancer dressings. -Refreshments were served by the hostess, assisted by Mrs. W. G. Teeple. WOMEN OF THE MOOSE HOLD INITIATION (Formal initiation was held recently by the Women of the Moose, with Doris Leonard as chairman of the chapter night program. The usual business was discussed and It was announced that open house will be held March 11, at Bluffton, for the annual baby village day. Lunch was served following the business meeting, with Doris Leonard and her committee in charge The attendance prise was won by Vera Gause rind the door prize was won by Mary Dixon.

Gable of Ajo, Arizona. - The bride-eltact is a graduate of Decatur high school and la presently employed at the Schafer store as a bookkeeper. Her fiance was graduated from Phoenix Tolleson high school and at present Is the editor of the Ajo Copper News. He served in the U. S. marines. He is post adjutant of the Ajo American Legion. A summer wedding is being planned. ./
