Congressman Adair Seeks Reelection Seeks Republican Nomination In May WASHINGTON, I). C. — U. S. Rep. E. Ross Adair today announced that he will seek another term in congress. The Fort Wayne Republican simultaneously with his announcement filed declaration of candidacy for the May 8 primary with the Allen county clerk and also with the secretary of state at Indianapolis. Congressman Adair was first elected to represent the eight counties of the fourth district in IsoO and Will be running for his fourth term. In serving the fourth district for the last six years, Rep. Adair has built up his seniority and Influence in the house of representatives. He is one of the few Republican members of the Democratic-controlled 84th congress to be placed on two major comjnittees. One of the topranking members on the minority side of the powerful veterans affairs committee, Adair also serves on the important foreign affairs committee. In announcing his candidacy for a fourth two-year term, Adair pledged: “His continued efforts to Maintain peace and prosperity for the nation; to assist with every means at his command to combat the scourge of God less Communism; to work for a sound farm program enabling farmers to share in the general economic well-being of the country; to support a realistic, common-sense and firm for eign policy; and to, serve the district to the best of his ability by faithfully representing all the people. The fourth district is composed of Allen, Adams. DeKalb. Noble, Steuben, Whitley, LaGrange and Wells counties.
