RECENT MEETING 18 HELD BY UNION CHAPEL W- 8. W- 8. Seventeen member* apd four guests attended the meeting of the Union Chapel W. 8. W- S. which was held recently ct the home of Mrs- Thurman Drew and Mrs* Florence Bauman, with Mrs- Thomas Harrell as the program leader, using as her topic "What Does ,It Mean to Be Hungry?” Mrs. Dpnald Smith offered prayer and Mr*. Eunice Bird read the scripture. Several talks from the book "This Revolutionary Faith,” -were presented by Mr*. C. 0 Brown, Mrs. Donald Smith, Mrs. Tom Gaunt, Mrs- Omer Merriman, and Mrs. Robert Folk- Miss Janet Brown, Mrs. Vincent Parker, Mrs. Nite Williamson, Mrs. Earl Chase and Mrs- Wilbur Foor dramatized parts from t,hoee chapters from the book as it was reported Mrs- Donald Smith, president, had charge of the business meeting, appointing Mrs. Thomas Harrell, chairman; and Mrs. Wilbur Foor and Mr*. The following officer* were elected for the coming year: president, Mrs. William Feller; vice-presi-dent, Mrs- Harry Dailey; and sec-retary-treasurer, Miss Alice Roth. Program chairman, Mrs. Richard Linn, presented an interesting discussion on the “Life of Mendelsshon” Delicious refreshments were served by the hostess, Miss Hill, assisted by Mr*. Couple Arrested On Narcotics Charges Arrested Following Automobile Wreck INDIANAPOLIS (INS)—Leonard Charles Affolder, 35, of Chicago, and Henrietta Ritchie, 46, of Elkhart. Ind., were arrested today on narcotic charges following an automobile accident. Affolder, nabbed by a policeman as he was en route to a hospital for treatment of injuries suMMM in the one-car accident, told oWlcere a story involving a Chicago man whom police did not Identify. His account was that he had been given SSO to rent a car and go to Indianapolis to pick up a sack at an Indiana Avenue night club. He said that Miss Ritchie accompanied him.
