Berne Lions Club Will Present Show Give Variety Show Saturday Evening Headlining the ‘ Berne Lions Variety Show of W Saturday at 7:45 o'clock will be Percy Abbott, recognized throughout the world as the greatest living authority in the realm of magic. Besides being a polished performer, Abbott has. for 20 years, operated the only factory of its kind in the world, producing magic illusions in his Colon, Mich., plant so that his city is known as the magic capital of the world. Abbott's magic show is one of over a dozen acts to be presented from the Berne community auditorium stage which includes nationally and tri-state known artists and acts interspersed with some of the best loeal talent.

Bob' Sievers of Fort Wayne WOWO-land fame will emcee the whole show which includes Art (Reed’s band, featuring the trumpet artistry of Reed; a piano duo team composed of Mrs. Sherman (Becky) Stucky and Mrs. Freeman (Mary Kay) Burkhalter; "The Singing Strings” —a .group of eight violinists, including familiar names such as Burkhalter, Walton, Yager, Bauserman, Sprunger and Liechty. Appearing too. is Berne's own Dick Cantino Swiaslander Walter Zuercher's accordions; the Three Trumpe leers — Neuenechwander, Sprunger and Liechty —playing “Bugler's Holiday”; an old-fashion barber shop quartet composed of members: Luginbill. Habegger, Neuen and Neuenschwander; a "mellerdrama" on the “Farmer's Daughter” by the Masque and Gavel club; a ladies barber shop quartet composed of members:- Sprunger, Habegger, Benroth and Kuhn; a baton twirling feat by Gretchen Schnepp and the famous juggling and unicyclist act by the Art Bassettk
