Mrs. Fanny Nytteler was awarded a club pin for her 34 years of service in the club- • •Reducing and Weight Control” was the teuton presented by Miss Bertha Landis, home demonstration agent. The door prixe was awarded to Miss Landis. The meeting was closed with tbe club prayer and refreshments were served by the Mesdamea Darrell Carl Frey. Mrs. Jim Arnold, was welcomed into the club. Tbe dub prayer was given by Mrs. Robert Mitchel, Mrs Loren Liechty gave the secretary’s reportThe group voted to have secret pals and Mrs. Richard Conrad gav-i a report oa “Safety in the Home. Mrs- Leroy Koller led the group in singing. Miss Bertha Landis presented a talk on "How to Reduce and Stay Reduced” Mrs. Richard Berne and Mrs. Russell Moser were appointed to work on the flowers and cards committee. Mrs Irvin Worthman and Mil Jim Arnold were appointed tor the ways and means committee. | Program Outlined For Youth Center Activities Planned At DeCatur Center The winter program of the Youth and Community Center will get under way in earnest Monday, with the organization of a first aid class, which will be conducted by Mrs. Roger Singlton. The class, sponsored by the local chapter of■, the American Red Cross, will be held for nine nights beginning; Monday at 7:30 p.m. Anyone in- ■ terested in taking this course is urged to attend the first meeting, t Further information can be obtain ! ed by calling the local. The oil painting class will meet Tuesday, at 10 30 a.m/ Harry Brown, local artist, win be the teacher for this class which is limited to 20 students. The next class will be a continuation otlfae classes held this winter and those held last spring at tbe K. of C. hall. Mrs. Barney Brooks, who has been teaching the winter group, will again be the teacher. This class will be open to all sixth, seventh and eighth grade pupils. The 1956 spring and summer! memberships are now on sale and all members of the Youth Center are urged to renew their memberships. The old membership expires January 8L Th ' pool tables in the Youth Center have been entirely rebuilt and are now in A-l condition. Francis Jacquay has been in charge'’of the work. The attendance at the Center for the first seven months has been over 85,000.
