ments of the past year. January, 1955. saw the Eagles brinf borne the county tourney title, iind in February the sectional crown wjpt captured by the Eagles forXhe third consecutive time. In March several students journby4d to Indiana University to take state achievement examinations, and Lowell Beineke, then a sophomore, was awarded a second place medal in geometry. Then came ■ three short months in which the halls were deserted except for carpenters, plumbers, and electricians who were constructing our new cafeteria. In September the halls were greeted by both old friends and new faces. Classwork was begun, and the seniorh started .practicing for their play which was given in the early days of October. In the early part of November, Bobby Hildebrand won the honor of representing M.II S. in the state cross country meet by placing third in the sectional in Ft. Wayne. Throughout November and December the Eagles played j ten ball games—nine of which they won, and M.H.S. claims the highj est scorer in the county, Witte.
