Velma Germann Is Bride Recently Os ■' Lowell E. Cress The wedding of Miss Velma Marie Germann and Pvt. Lowell Eugene Cress was Bblemnlzed recently in the St. Thomas Lutheran church in Ohio City, 0., with the Rev: Hans F. Wiedennatm reading the nuptial vows for the doublering ceremony. Parents of the coupie are' Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Germann of route two, Ohio City, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cress ofMonroeville. The musicale was presented by Miss Irene Meckle. organist, 'and Miss Marguerite Germann, vocalist. Both are cousins of the bride. Miss Germann’s chosen gown was fashioned of chantilly lace.

The traditional long sheer sleeves of lace were fitted, forming points over the hands. The bouffant skirt of satin was overlaid with nylon net covered with a lace skirt and topped with nylon tulle. For her headpiece, she wore a contour half-hat of lace sprinkled with seed pearls, to which was caught her veil of silk imported illusion. She carried a white prayer book topped with a white purple throated orchid. Mrs. Duane Cress, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, attended as matron-of-honor and bridesmaids were the Misses Mary Anne Ger-
mann and Ellen Louise Germann. sisters of the bride. They wore Jjallerina-length gowns of satin topped with net in blu< pink and yellow respectively. They carried bouquets of yellow' chryuanthemums. Miss Sharon Plumley, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl. She was attired in a blue nylon dress with a matching headpiece and she carried a basket of yellow chrysanthemums. Stanley Mollenkoff served as best man and guests were seated by Duane Cfess and the Rev. Delbert Cress, both brothers of the bridegroom. The parish hall was the scene of the reception at which 125 guests attended. Servers stere: Miss Helen Merkle, Mites Mary Egly, Mrs. Stanley Mollenkoff, Mrs, Robert Plumley, and Mrs. Delbert Cress. The bride attended -Wren high school. Her husband wus graduated from Convoy high school and is now serving with the U.S. army in Massachusetts. The couple will reside at Fitchburg, Mass. FAMILY NIGHT IS HELD MONDAY EVENING AT K. OF P. A large number attended the family night affair which was held by the Knights of Pythias and Pythian Sisters Temple Monday evening at the K. ot P. home. .The tables were beautifully dermnrt’Fd’ awd'a potluck dinner was served. The door prize was awarded to Mrs. j. Rumple and a cake walk was held, with cakes going to Mrs. J. Fred Fruchte and Mrs. Ed J. Ahr. Jerry Rumple presided at the piano during the evening. The food committee included Mrs. Frank Crist, Mrs. Ed Ahr, and Mrs. Lloyd Ahr and the entercbm* . committee ineluded Mr.: and Mrs. Frank Kitson, Mrs. Martin Weiland, Beehler, Boyd Rayer, Jerry, Rumple and Mrs. Fred Striker.
