* James C. Durbin Dies At Hospital Funeral Services Tuesday Afternoon James Clayton Durbin, 78, Jefferson township farmer, died Sunday at Adams county memorial hospital after an illness of several weeks. Bom August 27, 1977, in fdonroe township, the deceased •was a son of Ambrose and Angeline Durbin. Mr. Durbin spent most of his life in Jefferson township. He was united in marriage to Anna Ketchum, December 20, 1914. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Evangelical United Brethren church. Survivors include the widow and two brothers, Daniel Durbin and Bepfon Durbin, both of whom reside in Jefferson township. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:45 o’clock at the Hardy and Hardy funeral home in Geneva and at 2:30 o’clock at Mt. Carmel church, east of Geneva. Burial will be in Spring Hill ■ cemetery. Friends may call at the Hardy (funeral home in Geneva until time of the funeral Tuesday.

Schedule Os Hours For Youth Center Extra Hours During Christmas Holiday A Christmas week schedule of events at the Decatur Yotfth and Community Center was announced today by O. M. McGeath, director of events.. Next Friday the Center will open at 6o’clock in this evening and remain open until 10 o’clock. During that time, the Decatur high school class of 1952 will hold a reunion and Christmas party. The Center will be closed all day Saturday, December 24, and Sunday. December 25. On Monday Dec. 26. hours will start at 2 o’clock in "the afternoon and the American Legion teen age Christmas dance is scheduled for the Center from 7:30 o’clock until 12 o'clock midnight. All rooms will be open Tuesday, Dec. 27, from 10 o’clock In the morning until 10 o’clock at night and on Wednesday the Youth section will be on regular schedule ter will open at 6 o’clock in the from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Regular 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. hours

Terre Haute Boy Is Accidentally Slain TERRE HAUTE, (INS) — Funeral arrangements were made today for Thomas Dwight Mooreland, Jr., 12. of Terre Haute, who was shot and killed while playing with a friend. Norman Koch, Jr., 11. also of Terre Haute. Police were told that the Koch boy picked up a .22 caliber rifle, thinking it was unloaded, and fired. Social Security, Income Tax School January 11 Date Os Farmer Meeting, Final arrangements have been completed fbi a series of farmers’ social security and income tax schools in Indiana at the county level, according to the agricultural economics department at Purdue - University. Sponsored by ths agricultural extension service at Purdue, the purposes of these schools are to give teaching and other professions, who is included in the social security program and who must pay social security taxes before Feb. 15; explain how to compute 1955 farm earnings for social security tax reporting: and discuss the latest important income tax regulations that affect 1955 farm income tax reporting. Members of the agricultural economics department at Purdue will , conduct the schools in cooperation ' with the county agricultural and home demonstration agents. All farmers and their wives are invited to attend these schools. ’ Those attending will be given an opportunity to ask questions and take part in the discussion. January 11 is the date set for the Adams county meeting and it will be held at the Farm Bureau Building in Monroe.
