! MISS RUDY VELEZ WEDS PAUL SHORT SATURDAY Tiie marriage ot Miss Ruby Velez and Paul Short was solemnized Saturday niorning in the St. Mary's parsonage at Geneva with the Rev. W. A. Roth reading the nuptial vows tor the double-ring ebreujuny. Parents ot the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John Velez und Cecil Short. Thp bride chose a gown of white satin fashioned .with a lace bodice and long sleeves. A matching headpiece held her fingertip veil. She Carried a white Bible topped with a purple throated orchid. Mrs. Janies Raudebush. aunt of the bride, attended as niatron-of-honor in a steel blue taffeta dress with pink accessories. Miss Phyllis N’elez. sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid. She wore a rose colored dress with white accessories. .Both wore corsages of pink and white carnations. James Raudebush served as bestman. u A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the home of the bride s parents. The couple will reside at 1131 Jefferson street in Berne. NURSES ASSOCIATION ENJOYS CHRISTMAS PARTY Adams county nurses as-' sociation held a Christmas party | and gift exchange at the home of Mrs. Densil Dowell. Mary Fuelling gave a reading entitled “Old Fashioned Christmas,'' after which the | group sang Christmas carols. METHODIST CHURCH CIRCLES HOLD CHRISTMAS PROGRAM The scene of the Nativity and candle light was tlie setting for the Christmas program of the Methodist W. S. C. 8. circles, which was held Friday evening. The service was opened by Mrs. Robert Mills, and Mrs. Russell Owens gave the devotions.
