H. 8. — The second team also experienced another victory when they defeated the ’’Ramblers’’ by a score of 43-84. This is the second victory for the up and coming "seconds.” — M. H. 8. — On last Monday morning the art class, under the direction of Mrs. Vera Owens, attended an exhibition of paintings at the Decatur Youth and Community Center. The exhibition was sponsored by the Ford Motor company and featured the works of faculty artists throughout the country. These paintings are used for travel articles in publications of the Ford Company. — M. H. S. — The daily lives, problems, and advancements of the American Indian will be the topics of discussion in the speech class on Thursday. This subject is one of basic concern to everyone, and the discussion should prove to be both interesting and enlightening. — M. H. S. — Six—eight—ten — twelve!! Yes, 12 weeks of school have somehow sneaked into the history books, and one third of the school term is behind us. This meant that the inevitable grade cards were again distributed on Wednesday. Many of the students were content—a few acted surprised — and several

But the students of M. H. 8. have their own version. There are only sixteen and a half days of school before Christmas .... there are 96 more hours of study'. . ; we have 4 more basketball games . . . there will be 16 more hours of chemistry . . . and dozens of tests. yes, a " this is scheduled to happen before we all (teachers included) get a grand vacation. — M. Voting for the ratification of the constitution of the student council will also be held at this time. — M. H. S. — On Friday evening Monmouth will host their traditional and long-standing rivals—the Hoagland Wildcats, and on Saturday night the Eagles will play Rockcreek Center, also in the Monmouth gymnasium.
