Ing, report cards will be given out and another six weeks will begin. — D. C. H. S. — You gotta win! You gotta win!Let’s Go! This yell rang out from the throats of every Commodore fan last week in the Monmouth gymnasium, but fell short of its purpose. The Commodores were defeated by Monmouth by a score of 71-62. This was the first loss of the 81 season for the Decatur Catholic lads, with a record now of three wins and one loss. Following the game, refreshments were served to the visiting team with Monmouth playing host. — D. C. H. 8. — The Commodore team will be inactive for about a week, then will play Rockcreek Center at Bluffton on November 30. — D. C. H. of living and thelra. Everyone enjoyed her talk and made the students realize what a wonderful country we are living in. — D. C. H. 8. — The chemistry class has been meeting the halogen family and from all indications they are not an inconapicious group. Odors of penetrating chlorine gas and suffocating bromine fumes have not only caused irritated throats and inflamed eyes to the budding chemists, but have permeated the corridors and caused unpleasant grimaces and sniffing by many other students. The pathway to chemical knowledge is certainly not a fragrant one. — D. C. H. S. — The junfer class has been having panel discussions on books, essays, and short stories which they have read during the past six weeks. * r- .D. C. H. s. — The sophomore class has certainly been busy making notebooks! Several weeka ago, they made a biology notebook, and now they are gathering material for their Shakespeare notebook. The students have been studying Shakespeare for some time, and now are putting what they learned, Into books. — D. C. H. S. — Unom! That looks good! These exclamations came from hungry students when their eyes feasted on the cakes, and cup-cakes that the freshman class baked, earlier this week. This was the freshmen's first bake sale since the opening of school, and with the efforts of the sophomore class, they proved to be very successful in their effects. — D. C. H. S. — What do you know about silverware? The home ec IV class was able to answer this question after seeing a movie on how to set your silver in the proper way on the table, and also learning of the different processes through which silverware is made. The Towel company displayed several patterns at the school* for the students to look at. The seniors found this information on silverware very valuable. — I). C. H.
