It’s the only one that will dry your clothes as fast as your automatic washer washes them. DRIES CLOTHES BETTER Because a gas clothes dryer dries faster, it is better for drying v.cc < especially blankets. And speedy drying gives clothes longer life. IT COSTS LESS TO OPERATE Clothes dry for an average cost of about one cent per load. This is only ci.cthird the operating cost of a competitive automatic dryer. IT COSTS LESS TO INSTALL Only a simple gas connection is needed. There’s no special, costly wiring required. / Ihe G A S Compant/ NORTHERN INDIANA PUB LI C SERV IC E COMPANY

SCHOOL REPORTER care, family relations, budgeting problems, cooking, sewing, and mapy other things. In each school that has two or more girls taking this test there is a winner. The school winner receives a pin with .the “Homemaker” emblem and she also wins for herself and her school a cookbook. The winner for the school has the chance to participate in the state contest, in which all she has to do is fill out a form, telling of her hobbies, main interests, etc. The state winner receives a $1,500 scholarship to the school of her choice, and a trip to the national convention in Philadelphia in April. This three day trip includes a tour of Washington. I). C-> and other points of interest. The trip is to be made by the winner and a female faculty advisor. The national winner receives a SSOOO scholarship in place of the $1,500 for the state winner. All in all, there is only one test to take and that is the one given at the school, the rest is based on interviews and essays. — P. M. H. S. — The Pleasant Mills junior high team defeated the Adams Central junior high team, 28-26, last week. The 7th and Bth grades have chosen their cheerleaders, who are Kay Funk, Sharon Bebout, and Judy Shoaf. The girls have chosen black corduroy slacks, white long sleeve blouses, black bow ties, and white bucks. Good luck, kids and keep up the good work. — P. M. H.
