Five Minor Wrecks Reported In City Only Minor Damage Done In Accidents Five accidents and one state police arrest took place in the Decatur area over the week-end. Charles,’•F. Keller of Covington, Ky„ was arrested for speeding on U.S. 27 Saturday. He was fined $1 and costs, totaling $15.75. The parked car of Patti Hancher was hit on Mercer avenue by an auto driven by Martha E. Finch of Willshire, Ohio. Saturday. The Finch auto was headed north on Mercer and went into a slide. Damages to the Hancher car were estimated at SIOO and the Finch vehicle had SSO damages. A parked car belonging to Kenneth R. Weaver, Fort Wayne, was Mt in the drive of the Decatur Wutli and Community Center by Mi auto driven by Raymond McDougald of route one, Decatur. McDougald was leaving the center when the accident occurred Saturday. Damages to the Weaver car were estimated at S3O and the McDougald vehicle sustained only $5 damages. A car driven by Myrtle Baumgartner of Decatur was hit in the rear end at the intersection of Monroe and Second streets Saturday by an auto operated by Melvin Kleine of Allen county. The Baumgartner car had stopped for the red light and Kleine was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision. The Baumgartner car sustained only S2O in damages ; while Kleine's auto got SBO in damages. A, car driven by Robert Black of Decatur was hit at the intersection of Qrant and Line streets Saturday bjj an auto driven by Lary M. Smith of Decatur. The Black car was proceeding south on Line street and Smith turned left off , Grant street and hit the left rear I fender of the Black car. The damages to the Black auto were esti-: mated at slls and the damages to the Smith car were not known The parked car of Richard I of route five, Decatur, was 1 hit onsJHadison street Sunday by Marilyn Spieth of Decatur: The Bleeke car was parked on the south side of the Catholic church and the Spieth auto pulled into tbe alley between Fourth and Fifth streets to turn around. In backing out of the alley, the Bleeke car was hit. To Face Charge Os Traffic Violation i Mrs. Simon Heemetra of Fort Wayne, a former Decatur resident, has been charged with disregarding a stop signal in Fort Wayne following an accident Monday. Nov. 14. in which Charles R. Hill, 34, of Payne, 0., was killed. Mrs. Heemstra, who was injured in the accident, was treated at the Fort Wayne Lutheran hospital. She is scheduled to appear in Fort Wayne city court Wednesday morning.
