O'Connor Guilty Os Contempt Os Congress WASHINGTON (INS) — Harvey O'Connor, writer, was found guilty today of contempt of congress, fined 35M. and placed on probation for one yegr. The charge arose from O'Connor’s refusal to tell the senate Investigating subcommittee, whether he had been a member of a “Communist conspiracy.” Questions were directed toward a period in which O’Connor wrote several, books which later were displayed by the U.
