MISS HARRIET GERBER WEDB KENNETH DARMOUR • White chrysanthemums and candles adorned the altar of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed church for the double-ring wedding ceremony of Miss Harriet Jane Oerber and Kenneth Lee Darmour. The wedding took place Saturday evening at 5 o’clock with the Rev. William C. Feller and the Rev. G. Kenneth Shafer, uncle of the bride, officiating. Parente of the couple are Mr, and Mre. Edgar H. Gerber of route one, Decatur, and Mr. and Mrs. John T. Darmour of 6007 Gilbert Avenue, Parma, Ohio For the musicale, Mrs. J. Fred Fruchte, organist, played "Finlandia,” by Sibelius; and ’'Romance!” by Sibelius. Mrs. Floyd Wright sang "The Greatest of These Is Love,” by Roberta Bkgood; and the hymn "O Perfect Love.” “Saviour Like a Shepherd Lead Ue,” was played during the ceremony. The bride wore a lovely ballerina length gown of pure silk taffeta. The bateau neckline whs adorned with sequins and pearls. waist length jacket was finished with a beaded standing collar and long sleeves. A very full French inlaid gathered skirt over crinolin completed the gown. A shoulder length nylon tulle veil was set gracefully over a hat of irridescent sequins. She carried a single white orchid. Mrs. John D. Gerber, sister-in-law of the bride, attended as nnft-ron-of-honor in a mauve princess style ballerina length dress with matching accessories. She carried a bouquet Os mauve colored mums and matching baby orchids surrounded by wheat. Jimmy Berber, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer. The best man was Curtiss Dar<nour, brother of the bridegroom, and guests were seated by Burton Darmour, brother of the bridegroom, and John D. Gerber, brother of the bride. A 5:45 o’clock reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Approximately 50 guests, immediate friends and relatives, were present. The table was centered with a white wedding cake and candles, and bouquets of the bride and matron-of-honor. Other decorations were fall colored baby mums. • • The bride chose a white knit dress with a box style matching jacket and black accessories. She also wore the orchid from her bridal bouquet. Mrs. Darmour is a graduate of Decatur high school and attended Heidelberg college. Her husband was' graduated from Parma Schaaf high school and Heidelberg college, and is employed with the Trane company in the sales engineering division. • Following a brief honeymoon of unannounced destination, the couple will reside at 92T South 15 street, LaCrosse, Wis.
EMBLEM CLUB HOLDS, RECENT MEETING The Emblem club met recently at the Elks home and the group voted to sponsor Girl Scout troop 14, with Helen Howell and Jean Gilliom as co-chairmen. A report was given by the president on the convention at Birmingham, Ala., in October.^' LaVelle Death was elected supreme press correspondent for the Indiana clubs. Plans were completed for assisting the Elks during the winter social season. A social hour was held, after the meeting and hostesses included Helen Jones, chairman, Helen Bafr. co-chairman. Hazel Schultz, and Marriam Ziner. Game prizes were won by Virginia Frey and Bernadine Heller. The attendance prize was won by Mrs. Herman "Keller. Informal initaition will be held November 10, and members are asked to note the change of meeting date. The initiation will be held at 8 o'clock and all members are urged to attend. • ' “ The northeast district nurses association of the American Nurses association will have their first program meeting Tuesday, at 8 o’clock in the St. Joseph’s hospital nurses home. Martha O'Mally M. D„ director of division of hospital and institutional services of the Indiana state board of health, will talk on the subject "Accreditation of Hospitals and How it Will Affect Nursing.” The meeting of the Church Mother’s study club, which was scheduled for Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Robert Strickler, has been

Emily McGeath Bride Saturday Os Jack Everett Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Miss Efrnily (Roberta McGeath became the bride of Jack Eugene Everett, in a double-ring ceremony which took place at the First Methodist church chapel, with the Rev. Virgil Sexton officiating. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. O. M. McGeath of 630 North Second street, and Mr. and Mrs. Perry Everett of route one, Decatur. Baskets of white and yellow mums adorned the altar and the chapel was also decorated with tall tapers in white candelabra. The musicale was presented by Mrs. Harry Dailey, organist; and Miss Helen Haubold, vocalist. Selections played were: "Salut D’Amour,” "My Heart At Thy Sweet Voice,” and “O Perfect Love.” Miss HauboM sang "Because,” and “Wedding Prayer.” Bride’s Attire The bride wore a gown of chantilly lace and nylon tulle over satin. The molded bodice of lace was fashioned with a sheer yoke and a rounded collar of lace. Long sleeves tapered over her hands and self-covered buttons were centered down the back. The voluminous skirt of tulle featured a lace overskirt and ended in a circluar chapel train. Her fingertip veil of imported illusion was caught to a coronet of lace flowerettes centered with pearls. Mrs. Paul Spangler, sister of the bridegroom, attended as matron-of-honor in a rose waltz-length gown of crystalette drapped over taffeta and net. The gown was topped with a tiny bolero. She carried a bouquet of white garcia mums and had a head band of fall flowers. Junior bridesmaid was Martha McGeath, sister of the bride. She wore a gold waltz length gown of crystalette draped over taffeta and net with tiny puffed sleeves. She wore a headband

of fall flowers and carried a nosegay of assorted flowers. Brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Paul Spangler, attended as -best man and guests were seated by Dale Worthman and Robert Imel. For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. McGeath chose a navy taffeta dress with pink accessories and a corsage of pink roses. The bridegroom's mother was attired in an avacado wool knit suit trimmed in white angora, hat and, gloves of winter white, and avacado shoes and purse. She also wore a corsage of pink roses. Sixty guests were present for the 3:30 o’clock reception which took place at the Youth and Community Center. A cloth of autumn red overlaid with gold net covered the bridal table which was centered with a four-tiered wedding cake. Also adorning the table was a bowl of fall flowers and leaves,. Servers included Mre. John Hollister, Mrs. L. L. Johnson, Mrs. Earl Westfall, and Mrs. Bruce Pelley, all aunts of the bride. The new Mrs. Everett is a graduate of Presque Isle high school in Presque Isle, Maine. She |s employed. as a secretary at the Bag Service in Decatur. Her husband was graduated from Monmouth high school and is a press operator at the Bag Service. For their wedding trip of unannounced destination, Mrs. Everett chose a black box suit, fashioned with a jacket of black and white tweed, and avacado accessories. She also wore a corsage of yellow roses. Following their return, Mr. and Mrs. Everett will reside on Grant street in Decatur. Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. L. J. John Son and Lynne, Mrs. John Hollister, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Westfall and Karen, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Pelley, -all of Lisbon, O.; Carl E. McGeath of Alegan, Mich.; and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fuller and children of Grand Rapids, Mich.
Mrs. Dan Miller will be hostess to the Queen of the Rosary study club Thursday evening at 8 o'clock. The Zion Lutheran Needle club will meet ThursiTay evening at 7 o'clock in the parish hall. Tuesday evening at 8 o’clock the Eagles auxiliary will hold a regular meeting at the Eagles hall. The Ladies aid society of the Trinity E. U. Miss Sara Gerber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gerber, spent the week-end with her parents and family. Miss Gerber is a freshman at Heidelberg College. The Everready class of the Methodist church will meet in the ladies lounge of the church Thursday evening at 7:30 o’clock. Hostesses for the evening will include the Mesdames O. K. Baker, Guy Brown, L A. Cowens, and Virgil Krick. Devotional and program leader will be Mrs. N. A. Bixler. The Ave Maria study club will meet Wednesday evening at 8 o’clock at the home of Mrs. T. C. Surviving are two sons, Gail Myers of Bluffton and Ross Myers of Warsaw. Services will be held at 10:30 a. m. Tuesday at the Hardy & Hardy funeral home in Geneva, Dr. A. B. McKaln officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
