Finger Hurt While Working On Truck William Kruse, of route two, injured a finger on his left hand Monday afternoon while working on a trnck at his farm. Hearing Held Here Oh Saturday Fight Change Os Judge Is Asked In One Case Trial -of two necatur men who Were arrested after "h fight on North Second street Saturday afternoon began today in city court. The two are Jose Guerra, 30, Uho sis charged with disorderly conduct, andgpOscar Guerra. 23, who faces elftrges of assault and battery. Both entered pleas of not guilty Monday morning in city court. The trial of Jose Guerra was conducted this morning with Hubert MeClenahan representing the defendant, who claimed self-de-fense in the fight. Following the submission of evidence And questioning of witnesses, Mayor John Doan took the matter under advisement until evidence in the Oscar Guerra case is submitted. Robert Smith, counsel for Oscar Guerra, filed an affidavit for change of judge. Mayor Doan then asked the prosecuting attorney to r efire the case in circuit court. The case will be continued until a trial date can be set in circuit court. » Both mets have been released from the Adams county jail after posting bond. Oscar Guerra's bond is >IOO. The other defendant's bond, originally set at SIOO, was reduced this morning to SSO. Extension Office To Close Thursday The Adams county extension office will be closed all day Thursday. The office personel, Leo Seltenright, county agent; Bertha Landis, home agent; and office secretaries. Gloria Koeneinan and S.aHy McCullough; will be attend* ing extension workers conference in Fort Wayne. The conference will deal with extension office procedures and 4-H club work.
