HIGHWAY DEATH (Continued from Page One; to halt Mrs. Gard was crossing to her car on the opposite side of the road. Thirteen- year -old Bernard D. Burch, of Acton, an Indianapolis suburb, was killed when he was thrown from his uncle's car during a collision and fell beneath the wheels of the second car. The unele, Edward Hash, 27, of Bloomfield, .was reported in serious condition today in St. Francis hos» pltal, at Beech Grove. Both Hash and young Burch were thrown from their car in a collision with an auto driven by Mrs. Doris L. Klein, 23, of near Indianapolis. Mrs. Klein was not seriously hurt. Deputy sheriffs said the out-of-county car failed to halt at the intersection. Mrs. Evelyn Block, 60, of East Chicago, was killed when a car driven by her husband, John F. Block, 65, vice president of an insurance company, was in a headon collision on Ind. 43 seven miles south of Lafayette. State troopery said that the driver of the second car, Harold Grenat, 34, of Lafayette, appeared to have tried to pass a truck, then gone onto the berm when he saw the Block car. James Rudd, 31, of Knox, lost his life when a car hit a bridge abutment on Ind. 8 four miles east of Oak Grove. Two other persona in the car were injured seriously. They are Mrs. Naomi Dyks, 31, and her daughter, Nancy, 11, who are in Starke Memorial Hospital, Knox. Mark C. Hutson, 46, of Indianapolis, died Sunday night in Methodist hospital of injuries suffered
