Catholic Youth To ' Hold Rally Thursday Celebrate National Catholic Youth Week In preparation far the local celebration of national Catholic youth week. OoL SO lo Nov. A tho Catholic young people of high school age and over will gather for a giant rally to be held at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Fort Wayne at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct 27. The Rev. Henry J. Amelina, deanery director of Catholic youth has announced that plans for the event are now complete. Catholic youth from Whitley. Wells. Wabash. Huntington.' Adams and Allen counties are expected to attend. The Most Rev. Leo A. Pursley, apostolic administrator of the diocese of Fort Wayne will deliver the sermon. A living rosary will be a highlight of the rally. Participants in this event are Cathedral CYO ot Fort Wayne; St. John's CYO of Fort Wayne, Sacred Heart CYO, St. Mary’s CYO, St. Joseph CYO, Precious Blood CYO and St. John's CYO of New Haven.

Following the sermon, will be another presentation by the Central Catholic high school glee club, the official Catholic youth week prayer, hymn “Tantum Ergo", by entire congregation, and reposition. During national Catholic youth week, the Initial event will be a com men ion breakfast at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in observance of youth communion Sunday. OcL 30. Members of the senior Catholic youth organisation and Catholic young adults will attend mass and receive Holy Communion. Guest speaker at the breakfast will be State Senator Von A. Eichhorn, a member of tha legislative advisory commission. ' Other events witnm tne parishes and schools will consist of civic, i religious and recreational activities. all of which will be directed to spotlighting the talents and abilities of youth and which will be built around the special theme of the week, "Youth, Our Hope." Participants in these events will include Catholic Boy and Girl Scouts, grade school athletic organizations, high school civic
groups, drama ctnbe, Catholic youth organisations, pariah councils and Catholic young adults clubs. This week marks the fifth annual observance of national Catholic youth week, which is celebrated nation-wide and has the endorsements of Pope Pius XII, President Eisenhower, hierarchy of the Catholic church and many governors and mayors throughout the United States. Theater At Warsaw Wrecked By Blast Theater Empty At Time Os Explosion WARSAW, Ind. (INS) — Authorities today estimated at $125,000 the damage caused by a heating plant explosion that wrecked the Lake Theater and rocked downtown Warsaw Sunday. An audience was to have gathered in the 1,000-seat theater several hours after the blast to see a first showing of the movie, “The Left Hand of God." Only Child Drowns In Capital Canal INDIANAPOLIS (INS) - A prostrated Indianapolis mother saw the drowned body of her only child removed from a canal just six weeks after the husband and father died of cancer. Mrs. Irene Morgan returned ’ home from a trip to meet a relative to learn that her son. Wesley Joe Morgan, 10, had fallen into the Indianapolis canal Sunday. Indiana Population Is Now 4,235,000 INDIANAPOLIS (INS) -Hoosiers rejoiced today in a U. S. Price of route six. Decatur, Saturday evening at 7:30 o'clock in the Zion Evangelical Reformed church. The Rev. William C. Feller read the nuptial . vows for the double-ring ceremony. 1 ] Bouquets of white carnations, glads, mums, palms and candles ] decorated the altar of the church. j Mrs. J. Fred Fruchte played the ( selections ‘‘Rosary.’’ ‘‘Romance," and “Liebe-rstrum.” “I Love You Truly,” was played softly during the ceremony. A gown of Doupioni silk was worn by the bride. A bertha collar of Alencon lace embroidered with . irridescent sequins and pearls, featured the V neckline of the molded > bodice. Long sleeves tapered over , the hands and self-cbVT’FW'Wttons were centered down the back. The waltz length skirt was gathered from a front panel. Her fingertip length veil was caught to a coronet • of lace flowerettes sprinkled with sequins. She carried a white Bible topped with a deep throated orchid surrounded with whi.e button mums. Miss Darlene Stader of Dayton, 0.. cousin of the bride, attended as maid-of-honor and Miss Sandra Sue Hahnert of Toledo, 0.. cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid. The attendants wore gowns of shrimp crystalette over taffeta, pie Empiie waist was fashibm” wih a scoop neckline and cap sleeves. The princess style skirt flared to waltz length. Matching headbands with a brow veil complemented the gowns. They carried identical bouquets of white mums. Jimmy Price, brother of the bridegroom, attended as best man, , and ushers were James Wilson and Allen Bowen. The bride's mother wore a beige ‘ and brown lace over brown taffeta dress, with brown velvet trim 1 and brown accessories. The bridegroom's mother chose a dress of aqua lace over aqua taffeta, with sequin trim and pink accessories, i Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held in the church basement with 160 guests present. The table was decorated' with a four-tiered wedding cake surrounded with decorations of shrimp and white'candles, flowers and bells. _ Servers included Ellen McAhren. j Judy Brunstrup, Marlene Thieme, and Ada Foor. Josephine Xeireiter acted as hos.ess. For traveling, the bride chose a coat style beige table dress with -black accessories. Green Is On FBI List (Editor’s note: Escaped convict Thurman Arthur Green has been listed as one of the FBl’s “Ten Most Wanted” fugitives. He replaces Ohio bandit Daniel A. Everhart, who was captured in Denver, Oct. 9. WASHINGTON (INS) —Thurn»an Arthur Green, a terrible-tem-pered escaped convict whose ruthlessness even frightens fellow criminals,. was placed today on the FBl's list of “Ten Most Wanter'’ fugities. The 35-year-old one-time boxer has been sought ever since he escaped more than 17 months ago from the state at Walla Walla, Wash., where he was serving.. a six-year robbery senence for bolding up a tavern in ’Seattle. Descrbinig him as “extremely dangerous,” the FBI warned that Green is believed to carry a switch blade knife at all times, may be armed with a gun as well, and has promised “to take one of the bulls with me” if ever 'hreatehed wtih capture. Green, whose criminal career goes back to 1938 and includes two jailbreaks, escaped from the Walla Walla prison with two other convicts. The G-men quoted his acquaintances as saying "He has a grudge against the world and, because of his mean disposition, he would have a difficult time keeping a partner. As a result, Green is very much a lone wolf.” As proof of his “ruthlessness,” the FBI cties the fact that, during a prison boxing match, Green is reported “to have practically chewed off the ear of an opponent." He had many West Coast bouts while out of jail, too, and is believed to carry a large scrapbook of newspaper clippings about his fights. Lie Delector Tests To Slaying Suspects Dragnet For Killers Turns To Tennessee CHICAGO (INS) — Tne dragnet for the killers of three Chicago youth reached Into Tennessee as police left no atones unturned In their effort to solve the horror murders. The suspect brought back Sun. day from Tazewell, Tenn., was described as a 27-year-old Chicagoan with ‘scuffed knuckles and stains on his shirt.” He was arrested in Tennessee for being drunk on a public highway and was returned to Chicago when his story contained “doubtful features” which had to be checked out. The suspect, whose late model sedan was studied by crime laboratory specialists, will undergo a lie detector test today. Also slated to undergo lie tests in the murders of Robert Peterson, 14, John Schuessler, 13, and his Il-year-old brother, Anton, were two alleged members of a youthful gang which staged wlerd sex orgies.
