LORETTA ROSE RAUCH WED LOUIB RUMSCHLAG This morning at fl o’clock. Miss Loretta >Rose Rauch became the bride ot t Louis R. Rumschlag in the St. Mary's Catholic church, with the Very Rev. Msgr, J. J. Seimetz offcliating for the doublering ceremony. (Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Rauch of route one, Decatur; and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis 'Rumscblag of route six, Decatur. The church altars were adorned with American beauty roses and white pompons. Slater M. Margaretta. C. S. A., organist, played the mass "Miss Terttia,” by Holler. The men’s choir sang ‘‘Ave Marla," at the offertory; "Ava Verum,” by Lee, at the communion; and “Post Ludio,” by Setsivo Karseiert. "On This Day O Beautiful Mother,’’ * was sung as the bride placed a bouquet at the Blessed Virgin altar. Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a gown of all over hand clipped French lace and shimmering satin, fashioned with a petal neckline of pleated nylon tulle and sequins. The bouffant skirt of lace fell into a chapel train. Her veil of French illusion was held in place with a half-cap of lace and sequins. She carried a bouquet of white pompons. Miss Ruth Ann Rauch, sister of the bride, attended as maid-of-hon-or and ’bridesmaids were Miss Harriet Rauch, sister of the bride; Miss Monica Rumschlag, sister of the bridegroom; and Miss Patricia An DeKoninck, niece of the bride. The attendants wore gowns of peacock blue, fashioned with a petal ■effect strapless bodice, topped with a demure jacket of imported French lace which was fastened with lace covered buttons. The very full tulle skirts were floorlength and trimmed with American rose buds. They wore headpieces of pleated net over taffeta and carried bouquets of American beauty roses. Little Miss Louanp Becher, niece of the bridegroom; 'and Lois Jean DeKoninck, niece of the bride, attended' as flower girls in floorlength gowns of white net and taffeta. taffeta with tiers of French imported lace ruffles trimmed with American beauty rose buds. Their headpieces were a band of pleated net over taffeta and they carried bouquets of American beauty roses. Thomas ißumschlag,' brother of the bridegroom, served as best man and Kenneth Schwaller and Cletus Rumscblag, brother of the bridegroom, seated the guests. The bride’s mother chose a brown suit with honey-comb brown' and avsrato accessories, while the bridegroom’s mother wore a black and gray suit dress with black and avacado accessories. Both wore yellow rose corsages. Fifty guests attended the dinner served at noon at the Fairway' restaurant. Hessen Cassel hall will be the ■ scene of the reception from 7:30 until 11 o'clock tonight, with ap-' proximately 500 guests expected, i Servers include the Misses Delores Braun, Phyllis Braun, Joanne Braun and Mrs. Fred Heimann. Mrs. Rumschlag attended Monmouth high school and her husband was graduated from Decatur Catholic high school and is presently engaged in farming. For traveling, the bride chose a Ibrown dress with three-quarter length sleeves with honey-comb and dark brown accessories. A corsage from her bridal bouquet completed her ensemble. Following a two weeks’ honeymoon, the couple will reside near Decatur. 14 MEMBERS FOR W. S. C. S. MEETING The Mt. Pleasant W. S. C. S. met at the church Thursday afternoon with 14 members and one guest present. Mrs. Flounce Susdorf gave the devotions, and the lesson on “The American Indians,” was presented in the form of a panel discussion with Mrs. Leo King, Sr.. Mrs. Earl Fuhrman, Mrs. Non val Fuhrman, and Mrs. Leo King. Jr., taking part. Mrs. Norval Fuh:man rendered a vocal solo. The l'sth anniversary of the society was obsereved by the group. A history of the 15 years was given and the two presidents of that timq w'ere also honored. They were Mrs. Iva Fuhrman and Mrs. Florence Susdorf. The charter members were also recognized. Mrs. Burl Fuhrman presided over the business meeting, after which j Mrs. Roger Singleton gave the closing prayer. The officers of the society served refreshments at the close of the meeting. HOME DEMONSTRATION CLUB HOLDS RECENT MEETING The Town and Country home demonstration club met Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Elmo Miller: Mrs. Leo Teeple, club president, opened the meeting and the club collect and prayer was recited by the group. Mrs. Elmo Millen song leader, presented the song of the month, "Hail Purdue.” Roll was answered by 11 members present. Mrs. Robert Colter and Mrs. Henry Brown were welcomed as new members. The leaders, Mrs. Irenius Gase and Mrs. Mark Colchin gave a lesson on farm income and country roads. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Raymond Heiman.

Mary Jo Graliker Wed Recently To Clayton M. Cline The Very R®v. Megr. J. J. Seimetz read the nuptial vows for the double-ring marirage ceremony of Miss Mary Jo Graliker and Clayton M. Cline, Saturday morning Oct. 8, at 10 o’clock in the St. Mary’s Catholic church. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Graliker of 327 North First street. and-Mr. and Mrs. C. L Cline of Kalamazoo, Mich. The musicale was presented by Sr. M. Margaretta and the men’s choir. The bride’s chosen gown was fashioned of silk taffeta, trimmed with satin bows around the hip and neckline. The fitted bodice effected a princess style and boat neckline. The sleeves were traditionally long and fitted forming points over the hands. The skirt was designed with unpressed pleats, creating a bouffant skirt ending in a cathedral sweep train. To complete her costume, she wore a half-pill box of lace, heavil-, iy-< embroidered with irridesceni sequins to which was caught her veil'of silk imported illusion. She carried white garcia chrysanthemums .with a white orchid. Mrs. Don Giant attended the bride as matron : of-honor and bridesmaids were Mrs. Marvin Fuller and Miss Barbara Kime. They were attired in blue spruce Dauppioni silk gowns fashioned with a boat neckline and elbow length sleeves. The gowns were princess style and the bouffant skirts were ballerina length. They wore pill box hats fashioned with cinnamon brown feathers and matching gloves and shoes. John Boch attended the bridegroom as best man and ushers were John Wemhoff and Steve Gregorec. The bride’s mother chose a Dior dress of blue dull satin fashioned with a square neckline softly beaded in irridescent sequins anft, finished with a matching jeweled bow. Her accessories were beige and black. The bridegroom’s mother was attired in a navy blue wool crepe dress with navy and white accessories. '■ The Fairway restaurant was the scene of a dinner with 28 guests present. The tables were adorned with arrangements of white «and yellow chrysonthemums, cat-tails, and white tapers. From 2 until 4 o’clock a reception was held at the Legion hall with approximately 100 guests present. Mrs. Elmo Smith and Mrs. Dick Boch acted as hostesses and servers included the Misses Dorothy Ulman, Sheilia Murtaugh, Marlene Laurent, Jane Laurent, and Mrs. Floyd Hunter. The bride is a graduate of Decatur Catholic high school, Western Michigan College, and is employed at the Industrial State Bank. Her husband was graduated from Richmond high school and is em-

LOCAL LADY’S NIECE TO MARRY OCTOBER 22 Mrs. Mont E. Davison of Bluffton has announced the engagement and approaching marriage of her daughter, Dorothy, to Roland Gard of Hamilton, Ohio. The marriage will take place October 22 in the Methodist church of Hamilton. The young couple will reside In Hamilton following their marriage. The bride-elect is the niece of Mrs. Robert M. Fritzinger of this city. The Adams county Nurses association will meet Thursday evening at the of Miss Margaret, Eiting at 7:30 o’clock. The next meeting of the Great Book Discussion group will be held Thursday evening at eight o'clock at the public library. Mrs. Maurice Miller wai hostess to the Salem W. S. C. S. at a recent meeting. The meeting was opened with group singing followed by the reading of a poem by Mrs. Ruth Drayer. Mrs. Merl Riley led devotions and the study lesson entitled “They are My People Sayeth the Lord" was presented by Mrs. Carl Shug, Mrs. Oscar Young, Mrs. Maurice Miller, and Mrs. Harley Davis. Articles from the “Methodist Woman” were given by Mrs. Claude Foreman. The meeting was closed by the group repeating the Lord’s Prayer, and refreshments were then served to the 12 members and two -children present.
