OHIO COUPLE TO WED - NOVEMBER 24 Jesse TdmblMßa of fc'ren, o« announced the engagement of his daughter, Lou Ann. to Jack M. Wallick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wallick of Ohio City. O. Miss Tumbleson is a graduate of Wren high school and Is employed in the G. 0. Murphy store in Van Wert. Her fiance was graduated from Ohio City-Liberty high school and la employed at the National Seal company in Van Wert. The couple Will wed November 34, at 2:30 o’clock in the Evangelical United Brethren church at Wren. OCTOBER MEETING HELD BY MISSIONARY SOCIETY The October meeting of the Zion Lutheran Missionary society was held at the home of Mrs Will Schnepf recently. The members began their all day sowing meeting a 9:30 a. m. and a delicious potluck dinner was served at noon. The regular business meeting

opened at 1:30 o’clock, with Mre. Don Burke reading the devotions. Mrt. Hetman Krueckeberg presided at the meeting and a donation was voted to the Community fund. Mrs. Louis Jacobs, fall festival chairman, read the completed com-, mittees, and hte date of the affair will be December 7. Lunch will be served In the evening, and there will be two rooms especially for the entertainmnt of childrn. Final plans for the Nor:hern Indiana pastoral conference, to be held at Zion chutch October 27 and volunters are needed to house guest 28, were discussed. A few more pastors, Mrs. Jacobs stated. Mrs. Phil Sau6r, nominating committee chairman, presented a slate of officers to be voted on at the November meeting. The meeting closed with "The Lord's Prayer." Delicious refreshments were served by Mrs. Schnepf. Mrs. Edward Cook will be hostess to the Research club Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock.
The Merry Matrons home demonstration club will meet Tuesday evening at 7:30 o’clock at the home of Mrs. Otto Boerger. Each member is asked to bring an article for a silent auction. The St. Luke's E. and R. Woman’s giuld will hold an day meeting Thursday with Mrs. Noah Egley and Mrs. Sjrlvan Strahm as hostesses. Mrs. ErVin Lochner will be the leader, using as her topic "Man and God In the City.” All members are urged to attend. Mrs. Lohnas Mclntosh will be hostess to the Decatur home demonstration club Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. A practice meeting for initiation will be held by the Women of the Moose at the Moose home Thursday evening. October 20. at 8 o’clock. The ritual chairman requests all officers, escorts, and committee chairmen to be present.

Md., former resident of this city, who attended the 1816 graduating class reunion in this city on Sept. 25, states that they are in Miami Beach, Fla., attending the Legion convention. They also visited with Ruth Bowers Gill and Carl Gass in West Palm Beach. They state there was a large delegation from Indiana, but guessed they rspre-

Bixler of Decatur. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Chase and Mr. and Mrs. Earl B. Adams will leave Saturday morning for a week's vacation at Eureka Springs. Ark. Several 'Decatur residents have moved into new homes recently. They include Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kfueckeberg and family who how reside in Stratton Place; The Fred Corah family who also have moved to a now home in Stratton Place, and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Heller, who now live on North Second street Several other homes under construction will bo ready in the next few weeks, contractors say. Mrs. E. D. Stocksdale of St. Mary's 0., former of this city, has been returned to her home from Mercy hospital in Springfield, 0., where she underwent major surgery. Mrs. Stocksdale is unable to have visitors for a few days.
