BRIDAL SHOWER GIVEN FOR MIMS ROSE ELLEN MILLER? A bridal slrower was held recently at the Community Center in honor of Miss Rose Ellen Miller, brideelect of Robert Berghoff of Fort Wayne. Upon her arrival, Miss Miller was presented with a corsage of pink asters. The entertaining room was decorated with pink and green crepe paper and floral bouquets. Guests were seated at tables appointed with green and white umbrella favors. Games were played and prizes were awarded the winners, who in turn presented them to the guest of honor. Later in the evening, Miss Miller opened her many gifts which were arranged on a table decorated with pink and green crepe paper. A delicious buffet-style luncheon was served to the guests. The serving table was appointed with a- centerpiece of a silver moon and tiny bells. ' The guest list included the Mesdames Herman Berghoff, Zeno Nix. Paul Berghoff, Bernard Berghoff. Gustav Gerghoff, Don Zeil, Eugene Robillard. Bertram Schmenk, Leigh Nelson, Don Minfck, an% Miss Mary Ann Berghoff, all of Fort Wayne; the Mesdames Arthur J. Miller, Herman Everett, William L. Bauman, James ShackTey, Augustus Daily, Ed Warren, the honored guest and hostesses. Jane Daily, Ava Kratt, and Jackie Warren. Those sending gifts but unable to attend included the Mesdames Thomas Berghoff, Joseph Coffaro, Anthony Berghoff, Harman Kraft, Larrrberto Mickelini, Bill Arnold, and the Misses'Margaret Redmond and Joan Schmidt. LEGION AUXILIARY HOLDS INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS The American Legion auxiliary unit 43 met Tuesday evening at | the Legion home with a potluck i dinner being served at 6 o'clock. Installation of officers for 1955-56 was held with Mrs. Harold Kryder of Grabill, fourth district president, as installing officer. Mrs. Dallas Brown was installing sergeant-at-arms. C. S. of the Methodist church held a group meeting Wednesday morning at the church. The meeting opened at 9 o'clock with an organ prelude presented by Mrs. Edgar Gerber. The visiting oficers were introduced and were shown to their clinics by the hostess church group. . Clinics were presided over by the district officers, each giving information and helpful suggestions -concerning each individual office. The morning session closed with prayer, and after lunch, the meeting resumed at 1 :.15 o'clock. They will visit England, France, (Germany, Italy and the Holy Land. Mr. and Mrs. Otha Lobenstein of Monroe celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary with a chicken dinner for relatives* yesterday. Robert Sprague, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Sprague, went to Columbia, S. C., where he is enrolled as a freshman at the University« of South Carolina.
