Demonstrate Sod Waterway Plot Plan Demonstration Monday Afternoon A demonstration of sod waterway construction will be conducted on the Sherman Von Gunten farm Monday at 1 p.m. The farm is located three miles east and one half mile south of Berne. The demonstration will include the uaed of farmers’ tractors, plows and discs. A gullied watercourse will be worked in. shaped, fertilized and seeded to grass. * A demonstration grass seeding area is also located on the Von Gunten farm and will be shown that afternoon. This plot contains most of the grasses and legumes which are normally grown in Adams county. These grasses and legumes can be seen where they have been seeded alone and in combination. After the waterway and seeding plot demonstrations are completed there will be a tour to the Von Gunten-Vager farm two miles south to see a bulk milk handling system in operation. These demonstrations are being conducted by the district soil conservation in cooperation with the extension service and the soil conservation service.
