No-Gambling Hotel Is Planned In Reno Resort To Cater To Hunters, Fishermen RENO (INS) — A group of Ne- , vada and California financiers, millionaires in their own right, are staking a $2,000,000 gamble on the premise that not everybody who come to Reno likes to gamj ble. They broke ground in Reno last month for a 200-room luxury hotel along the banks of the bubbling Truckee River that will be unique among Nevada resort hotels it will have no gambling, no floorshow or night club. The new Holiday Hotel will, instead, cater to two lucrative but neglected classes of Reno visitors —the businessmen and the sportsmen. “There are." says Norman Blitz, .“a million pheasant shooters to one crap shooter." Speaks With Authority Blitz is a man who speaks with authority — his vocation and avocation for nearly three decades has been luring contented millionaires to Nevada to live.
