Beverly Lobsiger Bride Sunday Os Howard D. Rich The Monroe Methodist church was the scene of the wedding of Miss Beverly Jean Lobsiger to Howard D. Rich. The double-ring ceremony took place Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock with the Rev. Ralph Johnson, assisted by the Rev. Samuel Emerick, officiating. Miss Lobsiger is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lobsiger of Monroe and the bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Edward Rich of Monroe. The church altar was adorned with candelabra*, baskets of white flowers, palms, and ferns. Mrs. Elmer Ehrsam presented the organ music and Mrs. Howard Luginbill presented the vocal selections “Through the Yeans,” “You’ll Never Walk Alone,’’ and “The 23rd Psalm.” The bride wore a lovely gown of imported French thread lace and nylon tulle over crystal white .taffeta. The modified long torso lace bodice was fashioned by a low scooped neckline, outlined lace flowerettes Sprinkled with iredescent sequins and short sleeves complemented by elbow mitts. Her waist veil of imported French illusion was held in place by a pleated tulle plateau sprinkled with lace and sequins. She carried a cascade bouquet of American beauty roses, carnations and baby breath. Mie. Jerry Lobsiger attended the bride as matron-of-honor and bridesmaids were Miss Pauline Lobsiger and Mrs. Herbert Fruchte. The attendants wore gowns of aquafoam crystalette. Tyler was nabbed two miles west of Decatur on highway 224 for exceeding the state speed limit. Decatur Men Attend Spring Conference A group of Decatur men, members of St. Mary’s Catholic church, were among the 300 delegates who attended the annual spring conference of the Fort Wayne deanery council of Catholic men Sunday at St. Patrick’s Catholic church and school. The Most Rev. Leo A. Pursley, apostolic administrator of the Fort Wayne diocese, spoke. He advised the delegates that there is no set- pattern for practicing “Catholic Action” in daily lives. He said that each man must find in his own life pattern the opportunity to determine his part as a follower of the true Christ. A talk was also given by the Rev. Andrew Grutka, of Gary, the diocesan moderator of the council of Catholic men. Reports were presented by presidents of the four districts, including Richard Freistroffer of the southeast (Decatur) district. Rural Youth Enjoy State Park Outing An all-day outing at Pokagon state park Sunday was held by the rural youth members. Various sports were enjoyed throughout the day and a pitch-in dinner was held at noon. Burst Tire Brings | Death To Cyclist EVANSVIt.LB, Ind. (INS) —' A bursted tire on his motorcycle caused the death of Richard Tlmmell, 24 year old employee of the Southern Indiana Oas & Electric Co., in Evansville, early today.
