Marilyn Moser [ Wed Recently*To* Max E. The hiarriage of Miss Marilyn Jean Moser to Max E. Andrews took place recently at the First Missionary church in Berne, With the Rev. J. J. Klophenstein officiating at the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Amos E. Moser of Berne and parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. True Andrews. The Rev. Albert Swensen of Willshire, Ohio, had the benediction. The musicaie was presented b*y Ruth Inniger, organist; and Lynette Sprunger, vocalist.. The bride was attired in a chantilly type lace and nylon tulle gown. The bodice was fashioned of the lace with long fitted sleeves and a collar of lace on jthe high rotlnded neckline. bouffant floor length skirt of nylon tulle ehded in a short train and bands’of lace enhanced the skirt. A matching lace headpiece surrounded by tiny pearls held her fingertip veil In place. She carried a white Bible topped with an orchid. Miiss Shirley Ann Mioser of Berne, sister of the bride, attended as maid-of-honor. She wore a gown of orchid net over taffeta Schmitz. There were 19 nurses present. OFFICERS NAMED BY CHURCH CLASS The Do Your Best class of the Trinity E.U.B. church met Thursday evening in the church basement with Mrs. Nina Light giving devotions. Mrs. IRoy Taylor was in charge of the program and she introduced Miss Gloria Harvey, who played two piano selections. Mrs. Ralph Roop presided over the business meeting. The group will furnish altar flowers the last Sunday of November of each year. Refreshments Were served to 20 members and Fwo guests present, by the hostesses. Officers for the coming year are: president ,Mrs.ißalph Roop; vice-president, Mrs. Marie Wynn; secretary, Mrs. Frank Fisher; assistant, Mrs. George Hill; treasurer, Mrs. Manley Foreman; pianist, Mrs. Roy Mumma; assistant, Mrs. Homer Bittner; choir director, Mrs. Clarence Drake; assistant. Mrs. Nina Light; and floral committee, Mrs. Roy Taylor and Mrs. Blanche Elzey. j HOME DEMONSTRATION IN RECENT MEETING Miss Wanda Mann and Mrs. Roland Wolfe presented the lesson “It’s Fun to Make a Purse,” at the meeting of the Gals and Pals home demonstration club which met recently at the Pleasant Mills school. The meeting was called to order by the president, Mrs. Charles Morrison. Mrs. Paul McCullough presented a health and safety lesson and Mrs. Gordon Suman read the scripture. Mrs. Suman and Mrs. Lowell Noll served refreshments to 13 members and two children. A birthday auction was held .at the dose of the meeting. EAGLES AUXILIARY INSTALLS OFFICERS The Eagles auxiliary 2653, held their regular business meeting recently with the president, Agnes Baker, presiding. Freda Irvin and Bertha Kramer then held the formal installation of officers. Officers are: Ora Lou Teeple, president; Agnes Baker, past president; Ethel iGuple, junior vice-pres-ident; Anne Meyers, chaplain; Evelyn Spangler, conductor; Edna Mossis, secretary; Lucille Bodie,

Miss Ann Arnold, cousin of the bridegroom, was the flower girl and wore a yellow nylon gown and a Victorian headpiece; She dropped rdse petals in the path of the bride. Homer Arnold, Jr., was best man and Fred Kukelhan, James Rickner, James Meyers, anl Larry Andrews seated the guests. The bride’s mother chose to wear a toast brown nylon dress with white accessories and a corsage of fellow carnations. The bridegroom’s mother wore a powder blue dress with white accessories and a corsage of pink carnations. A reception wa’S held in the ehurch basement with 156 guests present. Servers included Miiss Mary Alice Canen, Miss Clarenell Sprunger, Miss Betty Andrews, Miss Marilyn Sipe, Miss Joyce Moser, and Mrs. James Rickner. For her going away apparel the bride- chose an ice blue nylop dress with white accessories. Mrs.’Andrews is a graduate of Berne high school and is employed }n the office of the Smith Brothers Furniture company in Berne. Her husband was grtuluated from Monmouth high school and Is, employed at international Harvester in Fort Wayne. A social hour followed. Bertha Kramer presented each lady present with an old fashioned colonial corsage. The next business meeting will be held June 28, at 8 o’clock at the Eagles hall. MRS. ALTON CORSON HOSTESS TO MEETING The Profit and Pleasure home demonstration club met recently at the home of Mrs. Alton Corson. The meeting was opened by singing the song of the month. Devotions were given by Mrs. Thomas Johnston, and a special feature by Mrs. Ralph Bluhm. ■ "New Ideas for Salads,” was the lesson presented to the group byMrs. William Kohne and Mrs. Clarence McKean. A picnic will be held for members and their families July 3. During the social hour refreshments were served by the leaders. The door prize was won by Mrs. Clarence McKean. Mrs. Boyd Stapler was a guest at the meeting. The Order of the Eastern Star will hold a regular stated meeting Thursday at 7:30 o’clock in the Masonic hall. This will be the last meeting until September 8, except for a called meeting August 10. for inspection by the w-orthy grand matron. The Methodist W. S. C. S. has «et the third Wednesday in November for their annual New England dinner. This year it will be held on November 16. This will be an annual affair and held on the same date every year. Dan Thomas, well known Decatur young man, home from Purdue University to spend the summer with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Thomas, has accepted a sales job with the Schwartz-Ford Co. of Decatur. Dan will sell both new' and used automobiles. Mr. and Mrs. Harley Tumbleson of Jefferson township have received word that the body of their son, Lt. Llye, recently killed in an airplane crash near Sluggard. Germany, will soon be returned to this country. Another son, Rolland, with the air force in Alaska, has been granted a 30-day leave to return home and is expected soon.
