(INS) —Enlisted men at Offutt air force base may have been startled when air police began offering free drinks of whiskey but most of the airmen accepted when they learned it waa for a 1 “worthy cause.*' It was part of an Air Force program to prove to the men that driving and drinking don’t mix. The results were recorded by an electronic gadget called the “Photo Clinic” which measures individual reaction time. The air police demonstrated to the airmen that a normal reaction time of .28 seconds was slowed to .45 seconds after a couple of shota. of whiskey.
