Yanks, Indians Are Winners In Little league The Yankees defeated the Senators. 14-4. and the Indians downed the White Sox, 6-2. in Decatur Little League games Tuesday night at Worthman field. The Yankees took charge of the opener by scoring eight runs in the second inning on six hits, four walks and a pair of errors by the Senators. (INS) Attending physicians have reported that Babe Zaharias “is not responding satisfactorily” to treatment for pains in her back and legs. The all time great woman gthlete entered St. Mark’s infirmary at Galveston a week ago when the pains became severe and attendants said physical thereapy has failed to relive the soreness. Test showed, however, the pains are not related to cancer, for whiep Mrs. Zaharias underwent April 17. 1953. it is believed they may be caused by a ruptured disc in her spine. - 4
