lnd«Ow Senators In Little League The Indians walloped the Senators, 23-0, in a Decatur Little League game Thursday evening at the Homestead diamond. •*" The Indians pounded out 14 hits and were" aided by 10 walks and nine errors. Meanwhile, Johnson and Landrum limited ths Senators to only three hits, all singles and scattered over as many innings. The Indians put the game on ice with a 10-run outburst in the opening inning, and added two in the second, five in the third, four in the fourth and two in the fifth. For the winners, Knavel had four hits, Townsend three and Nicodemus two. Two Little League games are scheduled tonight at Workman field, the Red Sox playing the White Sox at 6:15 o’clock, followed by the Indians and Tigers. Ladd. Braves Wallop Berne In Pony League Opener The Braves of Decatur whipped Berne, 20-8, in the season opener for the Adams county Pony League, played Thursday night at the Berne diamond. The Decatur team scored all its runs in the first four innings, tallying five times in the first, six I in the second, two in the third and seven in the fourth. « The Braves pounded out 14 hits, three each by Lytle, Mays and Franklin, and two each by ißeidenbach and Dellinger. Four Decatur pitchers limited Berne to four hits, two of them by Farr, which included a home run. Klenk's Noses Out 7-6 Win Against Payne A three-run. scoring burst in the seventh inning carried Klenk’s of Decatur to a 7-6 victory over Payne, 04 in a Federation league game Thursday night at Worthman field in this city. Klenk's trailed, 6-4, after five Innings of play but combined hits by Hoehammer and Bowen with a walk to Andrews and a Payne error for three runs and the victory in the lucky seventh.
