tf—*" < County Agent's Column • . a Storing Gaeellne It pays to store farm gasoline the right way. Precious dollars Are tost every year on Hoosier farms where poor types of fuel storage contribute to heavy evaporation losses and the poor quality of tractor gasoline. Leo N. Seltenright, county agent, says a farmer should aot put up with storage by vented drums ta which losses by evaporation hre known to be as much as 30 gallons per month for every 200 stored. He urges that underground of pressurized storage can cut evaporation losses and maintain fuel quality. r A farmer can have pressurized storage by installing a pressure

relief cap at the tiller opening of the tank, says the county agent. Thia cap must have a vacuum release valve to equalize the pressure when the tank cools. Seltenrlght maintains that a pressure cap will reduce gum formation and crankcase oil dilution, as well as evaporation losses. Underground storage tanks are just the thing for farms using large volumes of fuel. These tanks will serve in the same way as pressurized storage in maintaining the vapor pressure of gasoline at a high level. Result—evaporation is cut to a minimum. For complete information on these improved methods of storing gasoline and other fuels, farmers should see the county agent or write to agricultural publications, Purdue University, for a copy of Purdue extension leaflet 367 on “Farm fuel storage.” It contains important safety recom-

But the bull will be a small one, a "becerro,” and there is no killing — just capework. Travel agencies can fix up a trip to a "tienta," or ranch festival, where small bulls are fought. Better still is a private invitation from a breeder of bulls. Any amateur can step into the ring to try his luck, but he should be warned the becerros can cause painful bruises. Since the becerros are fought more than once, they learn to pay no attention to the cape and to go after the man. The tientas are generally festive occasions. The bullfighting is topped off by singing, dancing and wine-drinking from the tricky “botas” or leather bottles. Washington — The United States uses about 700 million pounds of cocca beans annually and Africa is the principal source, producing two-thirds of the world supply.
