Ferrell, Mrs. Parker, Mrs. Michael, Mrs. Gray, and Mrs. Rarer. Mrs. Michael gave the <eylew of the study book tor the month. Mrs. Qray read a poem and Mrs. Raver presented a reading and gave a report of the Y. P. M- B. session of the branch meeting held at Dayton recently. Reports were given on the W. M. A. branch meeting which was also held at Dayton. Mrs. Parker, president, took charge of the business meeting with ten members answering roll call. The new Mrs. Cook is a student at Alburquerque high school and the bridegroom is a graduate of Adams Central high school. The couple left on a wedding trip to Santa Fe and Las Vegas following a reception in the borne of the bride’s sister. JOYCE ANN WALBURN WEDS ROBERT TEEPLE Miss Joyce Ann Walburn of Fort Wayne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Walburn, was married to Robert L. Teeple, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo A. Teeple, of 1116 West Marshall street, today at 10;30 a. m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic church in Fort Wayne. The doublering ceremony was performed by the Rev. Thomas Durkin. The church altar was adorned with bouquets of white glads and blue daisies. Miss Walburn was attired in a gown of satin with a bouffant skirt embellished with scalloped lace panels. Its sculptured lace bodice was topped with flattering lace, framing a Queen Ann collar. Her tiera of French illusion net was caught with irridescent sequins. She carried a white orchid with lillies of the valley.* Miss Carol Steward of Fort Wayne attended the bride as maid of honor. She wore a nile green gown of nylon net over taffeta. Her strapless gown was topped with a bolero and her headpiece was the same color as her gown. (Mrs. Robert Murphy and Elaine Spiesterabach of Fort Wayne were bridesmaids. Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Eiting will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on Tuesday, May 10, at their home south of the city on U. S. highway 27, with a mass of Thanksgiving at 9 a. m. at the St. Mary.’s Catholic church. A dinner’ will be served at noon and open house for all friends, neighbors and relatives will be held from 2:30 to 10- p. m. Both Mr. and Mrs.' Eiting were born and raised in this community and lived in the same neighborhood all their lives. They were married May 10, 1905, at the St. Mary’s

Teeple is, a graduate of Central high school in Fort Wayne and was formerly employed at Kroger company. The bridegroom was graduated from Decatur Cathollc high school and the college of advanced traffic in Chicago, 111. He is employed in the traffic department for Teeple Line in Fort Wayne. The Tri Kappa associate chapter will meet Tuesday evening at 7:3D o'clock at the home of Mrs. Wilbur Petrie. Mrs. Austin Merriman, will be hostess to the Salem Methodist W. 8. C. S. Thursday afternoon at 1:30 O’clock. The Little Flower study club will meet with Mrs. Mary Sorg Thursday evening at 7:30 o'clock. The Eastern Stars and their daughters and the Rainbow Girls and their mothers are invited to a potluck supper Thursday evening at 6 o’clock at the Masonic hall. Catholic church by the Rev. Theodore Wilkin. They are the parents of seven children, four girls and three boys: Bernard of Vera Cruz, resaurant operator; Sister Mary Virginita C. S. A., teaching at Bronx. New York City Margaret, at home, a nurse at the Veteran’s hospital in Fort Wayne; Robert of the Decatur Equipment, Inc. A son, Richard, lost his life in World War Two in France. Two daughters, Mary Gertrude and Elizabeth Jane, are deceased. They have five grandchildren, two girls and three boys.
Three Link club committees for May will furnish the entertainment and serve refreshments. A meeting of May 24, has been cancelled so that members may attend the semi-annual district 31 meeting to be held at the Geneva Rebekah lodge on that date. Reservations must be in by May 17, for the dinner. Mrs. Adrian Wemhoff will be hostess to the St. Dominic study club Tuesday evening at 8 o’clock. / > V/// t £ Jolly Juniors The third meeting of the Preble Jolly Juniors was held at the-Mag-ley recreation center. The pledges were led by Jean Kolter and Phillis Reinking. Thirteen members were present-?- Demonstrations were given by Linda Kruetzman, Janet Shaffer, and Lila Kruefzman. The 4-H song was lead by Helen Rejfpert. Recreation was lead by Jeen Kolter and Shirley Bieberich. Refreshments were served by the hostesses. Hardy Workers „ The Monroe Hardy Workers 4-H club met at the Adams Central high school gym April 25. The meeting was called to order by the vice-president, Kae Christener, and roll call was answered by the 3D members present. Pledges to the flags were led by Wanda Neuenschwander and Ned Stucky. Group singing was led by Twila Arnold. Record books and manuals were distributed by the leaders, and the meeting adjourned. Variety Farmers The Washington Variety Farmers -H club held their regular meeting at the home of club leader, Eugene Arnold, recently. The meeting was called to order by the vice-president, Ron Corson. Pledges were led by Alan Miller. Following the business meeting recreation and refreshments were enjoyed. The next meeting will be held May 10, 7:30 p. m. at the home of Larry Lautzenheiser. • Sodbusters The Blue Creek Sodbusters 4-H club met May 2 at the Kimsey school. Church Attendance Crusade Reported Only one church showed an Increase last Sunday in hotH Sunday school and church attendance during the attendance crusade now n«derwa.Y-ifr- Decatur churches. Thia was the Zion Evangelical and Reformed church. The" Nazarenes and s Lutherans advanced in church attendance, while the Methodist, First Christian, Bethany E.U.B. and Missionary improved Sunday school attendance. Mills has returned to Logansport where he is making his home w’ith his daughter, Mrs. Ben Franklin. He came home to vote and'spent several days visiting old friends. Mr. and Mrs. P. L. Amstutz of Berne, are celebrating their 63rd wedding anniversary today. He is the bokobinder at the Berne Witthe bookbinder at the Berne Witpopular. Funeral services were held this morning for George P. Weber, 97, who died Thursday evening. He was in business in Van Wert, 0.. more than 50 years and despite his age was a daily downtown visitor. Mrs. Ray (Beth) Fryback has retired after a teaching career of 25 years, 23 of which were spent instructing the youngsters of Wells county and two in Colorado. Ossian teachers honored her at dinner given in Bluffton. William S. Eckrote, of Geneva, was fined sl4 in a Huntington court and sentenced to 104 days on the Indiana state farm for public intoxication. He has a long record and was jiMtt released from the state farm last Monday. At the Adams county memorial hospital: Mr. and Mrs. Paul Spangler of Decatur are the parents of a baby boy born today at 7:30 a. m., weighing seven pounds and six ounces. A baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Schug of Berne today ,at2:27 a. m., weighing six pounds and seven ounces. GIRL SCOUT Tuesday, May 3, we had our 28th Girl Scout meeting. The roll call and secretary’s report were read and dues were collected. We had a game and song. David Brown came and showed us how you make a bed roll. Barbara Roe and Jeanie Cook passed some on their proflcency badges. The ipeeting was closed with the friendship circle Barbara Roe had refreshments.
