Adams Central Class Will Visit Capital Senior Class Makes Annual Trip Monday The agenda for the annual trip of the senior class of Adams Central high school which will extend from Monday, May 9, to Friday, May 13. has been planned. The class will travel by train to Washington, D. C„ where they will tour the city. The group will leave Decatur at 2:30 p.m. Monday and will arrive in Washington at about 6:30 am. Tuesday. During the first day in Washington they will see the Smithsonian Institute, Lincoln Memorial, the White House, Washington Monument, Arlington National cemetery, the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Trophy room. Amphitheater, Christ church and the Masonic Memorial in Alexandria. They will also make a tour of Mt. Vernon and a general tour of the city of Washington. Wednesday they will visit the bureau of printing and engraving, the department of commerce, the treasury department, the Pan American Union, the archives building, the national geographic museum, the F. 8.1., the Capitol buildings, supreme court and library Os congress. A ride on the Potomac will be featured Wednesday evening. On Thursday tney wni enjoy a nine-hour tour of the Shenandoah national park-skyline drive which includes Bull Run battlefield .the skyline drive from Front 'Royal to Panorama and the Skyline Caverns! They will leave Washington late Thursday night and return to Decatur at about 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Sociology Classes Visit State School The sociology classes of Decatur high school and principal Hugh Andrews and Deane Drowin, Decatur hifth school instructor, were guests today at Fort Wayne state school. , Along with high school students of other northeastern Indiana high schools, the students and their instructors heard a discussion on sociology and then took a tour of the various buildings of the school. Urges Spraying For Spittlebugs Spraying for spittlebugs on clover and alfalfa should be completed this week, advises; Leo Seltenright. county agent. Yield increases average ton of forage per acre. Spray materials used are as follows: benzene hexachloride known of BHC, is the most satisfactory insecticide on methoxychlor is next. Two pints per acre of 11% emulsion BHC is used in 10 to 15 gallons of water per acre. Dairy cattle should not be pastured where BHC is sprayed for 2 to 3 weeks. Fields used for pasture can be sprayed with 25% methoxychlor emuslsion at 2 quarts per acre in 10 to la gallons of water per acre. May Fellowship Service Friday The council of church woinen will hold their May fellowship ‘day service at the Trinity E. U. B. church Friday, at 7:30 p. m. There will be a devotional service led by Mrs. William Feller. A girls’ brio of Lois Strahm. Rosemary s’tfahm and Coria Frachto will sing “Bless This Houre” by Brahe. The film. “Family on Trial,” will be shown. At the close of the service there will be a fellowship tea served in the social room of the church. The Zion Evangelical and Reformed church, the Church of God, and the Union Chapel E. U. B. ehurch are assisting the_host church. Men as well as wpmen are urged to attend this service. Jefferson Club To Reorganize Tuesday A re-organization meeting of the Adams county Jefferson club will be held at the Hob Nob Restaurant on U. S. highway 27 south of Decatur Tuesday at 6:30 p. tn. Dr. Harry Hebble, county chairman of the Democrat central committee. will speak, giving pertinent information and items of Interest for all interested Democrats who are invited to attend the dinner meeting.
