Elmhurst is defending champion of the Fort Wayne sectional, which includes 22 counties of Northeastern Indiana. Roger Eley, playing 3. defeated Ross, of Elmhurst, with a score of 41 tor the nine holes. Saturday at the city lot on Monroe street in the Interest of the Adams couny conservation department. Proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase feed for birds to be raised by 4-H boys of the county. Articles of all types donated by residents of the county will be for sale, and anyone having an article to donate is asked to call the Rev. L. T. Norris, 3*3084, and it will be picked up. In event of rain Saturday, the sale will be held in the Sprunger implement store. Auto Is Wrecked In Freak Accident A car driven by Phyllis Moser, 121, of Decatur route three, was completely wrecked in a freak ac- ! cident Wednesday at 3 p, m. on a gravel road three miles east of Dei catur. She escaped injury when her car flipped over after the front bumper caught the bank at the side of the road and then went into a skid. A minor accident occurred at 4:30 a. m. today when a car driven by Burdette Lee Custer, 22, of Winchester street, skidded into a fence owned by Orville Morrison on a county road east of Pleasant Mills. Adams County Youths Injured Wednesday Harry Myers, 20, of Decatur route three, and Alvin (Girod, 19, of Decatur route six, were injured Wednesday on their way to work when the motorcycle on which they were riding was hit by a car .in Monroeville. The car was driven by Sara F. Erasure. 92. of Monroeville, who was not injured. The Adams county youths were brought to the Adams county memorial* hospital. Girod sustained a fractured left leg, a i broken finger and severe lacera- ■ tions to his knee and scalp. He ig still in the hospital. Myers was released this morning after being held tor observation. He was badly bruised in the accident. The accident occurred at the intersection of two Monroeville streets. Both of the injured were knocked, off of the motoreycle. Deputy Sheriff Russell Hoelle investigated and later arrested Frasure, who was charged with failure to yield the right of way.

Recognition Day For Clubs Saturday WOWO radio station in Fort Wayne is sponsoring a trl-state recognition day for home demonstration clubs Saturday at the Embassy theater. Mrs. Theron Fenstennaker, president of the Adams county home demonstration council, will participate in the program. : ,--- Invitations have been sent - to 6*B home demonstration clubs in this area including Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. Each club is entitled to send five members as guests. If every club responds, the theater will be filled to capacity. Thia is the first tri-state recognition day for the beginning of national home demonstration week. The program wfll begin at 9:30 a. m. A national network radio broadcast of this event may be heard between 10 and 10:30 a. m. Following the broadcast a movie will be shown. The program will conclude by noon.
