The business meeting was conducted by the president, Bonnie Lehman. The meeting was opened with the olub collect. Reports were given on the various activities of the year. The tables were decorated with flowers, candles, and name cards, using the colors of the sorority. The committee consisted of Ethel Halterman, Edith Deltsclj., Nancy Johnson, Marjorie Martin, AngelIne Rash, Ethel Mae Sanmann. and V-irgene Keller. The sorority was inspected by Neva Mariarlty, chairman of philanthropic, from Phi chapter in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Mariarlty gave the highlights of sorority and dates from the establishment of the sorority, which was in Muncie in 1897. The women of the Lutheran church prepared and served the dinner HISTORICAL CLUB HAS CLOSING MEETING The Historical club held their closing meeting at the country home of Mrs. Roy Price, Wednesday, with 22 members present, and one guest, Mrs. Flora Flederjohn Selton of San Francisco, Cal., formerly of Decatur, A delicious luncheon was served at noon, with the following as assistant hostesses, Mrs. Homer Lower, Mrs. Fred Hancher, Mrs. Clarence Smith, Mrs. Wm. Dellinger, and- Mrs. Mary Ahr. Mrs. Heury Adler, president, held a short business meeting. The opening meeting for the year 1955-1956 will be Sept. 28th with Mrs. Delton Passwater, hostess. WOMAN’S CLUB TO HOLD CLOSING MEETING The closing meeting of the Decatur Woman's club will be held Monday evening at 7:45 o'clock at the public library. The Dramatic department of Woman’s club will be in charge of the program and will present a play entitled, ‘‘Come In Mrs. Smith.” A report will be given on the convention, which was held at French Lick. Guests are invited to attend this closing meeting of the year. G. E. May 5. The Friendship circle of the Missionary church will meet with Mrs. H. J. Welty Friday evening at 7:30 o'clock. The Delta Theta Tau sorority held their business meeting at the Elks home Tuesday evening. Games were played and refreshments served. The committee included Mrs. Lyle Mallonee, Mrs. Cliff Brewer, Mrs. James Newton, and Miss Phyllis Gerke. A Mother’s day party will be held May 4 3. The Bethany circle of the Evangelical and Reformed church met at the home of Mis. Cal Yost on Wednesday evening. The lesson was given by Mrs. Ed Miller. Eighteen members were present and delicious refreshments were served by the hostesses, Mrs. Albert Beineke, Ann Lehman, and Mrs. Cal Yost. The Catholic Ladles of Columbia will have a business meeting Tuesday evening at 7:30 o’clock at the C. L. of C. hall. The V. 1. S. class of the Trinity church sponsored a skating party recently at the Happy Hours skating rink. Skating was enjoyed by the young people and later refreshments were served by the conimittee. The group was led in devotions by E. A. Crider and Lois The Woman's guild of the Zion E. and R. church will have a mother and daughter carry-in supper Wednesday evening at 6 o’clock.
