ADAMS CENTRAL CLASS WILL PRESENT PLAY The Junior class of Adams Central high school will present “Our Hearts Were Young and Gay," a comedy in three acts by Cornelia Otis Skinner and Emily Kimbrough, Tuesday at 8 p. m. in the Adams Central gymnasium. The play |s based on the lively escades of two girls on an adventuresome trip to Europe In 1923. The main roles of the girls are portrayed by Carol Egley and Marilyn Sue Roop. Supporting cast members are Larry Meyer, Dianne Liechty, Lowell Michaels, Marvin Zurcher, Kay Heare, Dee Myron Byerly, Jerry Mitchel, Karen Snyder, Marilyn Arnold, Richard Kaehr, Carolyn Chrlstener, Sonja, Schug, Nancy Shoaf, Gary Ringger and Alan Miller. Tickets for’ the play will be available from members of the senior class or they may be purchased at the door on the evening of the performance. MEETING IS HELD BY VFW AUXILIARY The V. F. W. ladies auxiliary held a business and social meeting recently at the post home. Games were played and prizes were won by Audrey Ballard, Ruth Railing. Crystal Hook, Lucille Bodie, and Ethel Gaffer. Nomination and election of delegates and alternates to the fourth district were held- Delegates will be Glenys Martz, Thelma Railing. Crystal Hook, Gyneth Baker, and Anna Meyers. SORORITY PLANNING FOR FOUNDERS DAY The city council of the Beta Sigma Phi * sorority met recently at the home of Mrs. Ralph Hobbs. Mrs.' Robert Lane presided over the business meeting. The Founders Day program scheduled for April 28, was discussed and Mrs. George Bair was appointed general chairman with the social committees from each chapter assisting her. It was decided that the council would donate a table cover and a pillow for the sorority's use. The closing ritual whs given and the meeting was adjourned- Refreshments were served by the hostess and the remainder of the evening was spent in a sociaf hour. MONMOUTH P. T. A. TO MEET TUESDAY The Monmouth P. T. A. will meet Tuesday in the school agriculture room at 7:30 o’clock. The Mothers study club will have charge of the evening’s program by presenting an illustration of their regular study course in action. A panel has been planned by the speakers, Mrs. Herbert Braun, Mrs. Loren Jones, and Mrs. Robert Teeple. They will use as their ■subject “When Children Blow off Steam." Devotionals will be vocalized by the seventh and eighth grade students. They will sing the spirituals “Go Down Moses,’’ with Ter-

Remy Bieriy; chaplain, Alva Railing; one-year trustee, Fred Wagner; two-year trustee, Kenneth Barker; and three-year trustee, Forest Railing. 7 Joint installation will be held 1n June at the post home. The St. Joseph study club will meet with Helen Wehmeyer Tuesday evening at 8:15 o'clock. Wednesday on Second street for public intoxication. He appeared in city court this morning and was fined >5 and costs after entering a plea of guilty. Krugh's Condition Reported Improved The condition of Robert Krugh, son of Ernie Krugh of this city, who is a patient at Lutheran hospital. Fort Wayne, is reported to be improved today. He was taken to Lutheran hospital last Saturday and attending physicians state he will be confined several weeks.
