Mien, on Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mies of 431 Sunset lane, Decatur, was promoted to his present rank here at the marine corps air facility March T. Mies is serving as an air dafensa control officer with marine air control squadron 7 of the 2nd marines aircraft wing. Before entering the marine corps in September, 1953, he was graduated from Villanova College, Villanova, Pa.
