CHURCH REWS _ ' Union Chapel II Timothy 2:1-15 Was the scriptural basis of the message “Man’s Mastery" brought by the Rev. William Snider at Union Chapel chttrch Saturday evening. He stated that the word mastery is ah old word which means superiority or rules. “Mastery over anything is a sign of victory, so a Christian lite can be a mastery. Every man has a mastery to perform. To be alive is to live id victory and mastery over the things of life. If we do not master life, it will master us. Many know how to turn the switch ot a radio or television to hear the mQsic and see faces hundreds of miles away, but they do not know how to turn the switch in order to hear the sweet music of God to the soul nor to see the smile of God upon them. “The power of the Holy Spirit is greater than anything around us. “We can only master life through the Master of life, who is Jesus Christ. “What are we going to do about our sins? Christ says they can be forgiven. ‘lf we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.* “Christ can help us master temptations. Christ met his temptation in the wilderness by quoting scripture. We can do the same. Christ can master discouragement. ‘The joy of the Lord is your strength.* ’’ “Hope is the anchor of the soul. If we have not hope, we are of all men most miserable. “Are you the master of your life, or has life mastered you?" Services continue tonight and Tuesday at 7:30 p.in.
