Highlights are: ~ Hog prices will show a five to 15 percent decline in the fall and winter, compared to 1954. An increase in spring farrowings and an expected heavy sale of hogs next fall are the factors cited. The market for fed cattle will be stronger in the early fall than later in 1955. Some bargains may be obtained when feeder cattle move in from the wheat pasture areas of the. Great Plains because of an anticipated lack of rainfall after early October. Milk production will remain steady with 1954. A legislative fight on dairy import controls is likely in congress. Egg prices are expected to drop further during February, March and possibly April. After mid-year the ratio between feed and eggs will improve some. Corn prices are expected to be supported at 87-88 percent of parity and acreage allotment” must be complied with to be eligible. Support prices of oats, barley and rye have been dropped to 70 percent of parity. Liverpool — The earliest modern form of insurance was for the safety of ocean vessels as Well as the cargo they carried,
