Second Teams In Semi-Final Games Tonight Semi-finals in the annual Adams county second team tourney will be played tonight at the Monmouth and Seme high school gyms. Winners of tonight’s games will meet for the county second team championship at 7 o’clock Saturday night at the Adams Central gym as the preliminary to the final game of the first team tourney, which will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Adams Central and Monmouth •will clash at 6:30 o’clock this eve-’ ning at Monmouth, following opening round victories Monday night. Adams Central rallied in the final._period to edge the Decatur Commodores, 28-26. Monmouth with 12. Geneva and Berne will meet at the Berne gym at 7:30 O’clock as the result of victories over Jefferson and Hartford, respectively, Monday night at Geneva. The two losers will- meet in a consolation game at 6:80 p.m. Geneva had little difficulty with Jefferson, leading at all periods, 10- 22-8 and 40-14. Patty led the winners with 13 points, and Stuber topped Jefferson with 15. Berne, after trailing at the first quarter, defeated Hartford, 36-25. Hartford led at the first period, 11- but Berne was on tap at the half, 17-16, and at the third quarter, 23-17, Berne played without a substitution. Yoder and Schug leading with 12 points each. Lt. She will reign during the homecoming game with Geneva Feb. 2 and the dance which will follow. . Other contestants for queen were Misses Joanne Braun, Delores Braun and Kathleen Pursley.
