- RECEPTION HELD FOR MISB IRENE MEYERS A reception honoring Mies Irene Meyers, who retired recently from the Fort Wayne works of the General Electric company, was given Sunday afternoon at the country home of Miss Dorothy Schnepf by the members of the decode, club. Miss Meyers had been with the GE for more than 35 years. She started as a clerk and worked her way to the top serving for many years as supervisor of women's activities and club advisor for the Fort Wayne works. In this capacity she helped organize the girls clubs in the branch plants and gained a host of friends. Most of the guests at the reception were girls with whom Miss Meyers had been associated with as club advisor. The serving table was covered with an Irish linen Cloth, and was Taid with crystal and silver, centered with pink and white snapdragons and a crystal vase. Pink candles and crystal holders were on each side of the centerpiece. Assisting Miss Schnepf with arrangements for the reception were Lucille Egor, Mary Maloney, Glennie Barkley, Miller, ; ’Sally and Betsy Schnepf assisted with the serving. GIRL SCOUT LEADERS HOLD RECENT MEETING Oirl Scout Leaders club met at the Legion home recently with H leaders and one guest present. Mis. Don Cochran, pmidwit. took charge of the meeting. Each _ troop leader la to call Mrs. A. R. Holthouse if they do any community service during the year. Mrs. James Tutewiler reported that the county farm would appreciate visits from the girls. ■* Mrs. Cochran reported that Marion Bobinson will give a first aid course in February, one evening a week. Girls must be at least 12 years old and older. Those who complete this course will have earned a first aid badge. Leaders are asked to contact Mrs. Cochran for details and to register the girls. The meeting was then turned over to Mrs. Chester Dalzell, dancing consultant. The next meeting will be held February 2 at the Legion home. The lesson will be on singing, and the cookie sale literature will be handed out. The girls will take orders on Feb. 7 through Feb. 13 and the cookies will be delivered during Girl Scout week In ' . 1. ‘ . Il>'. ; .

Wilma Reppert Recent Bride Os Edwin Krueckeberg The First Methodist church of Ossian was the scene of the dou-ble-ring ceremony that united Miss Wilma Jean Reppert and Edwin Junior Krueckeberg in marriage. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul E. Reppert of Ossian and the bridegroom is the eon of Mrs. Marie Krueckeberg of route five Decatur. The wedding took place January 1 at 6:30 o'clock in the evening with the Rev. Edwin Greeu officiating. ■> Jay Martin was the organist for the ceremony'and Karl Reinking presented the vocal selections. The bride was attired in a lace over satin gown with fingertip sleeves. She carried a bouquet of flowers on top of a prayer book.
