CHRISTMAS PARTY BY GALB ANO PALS CLUB The Gals and Pals ifome demonstration club met recently at the home of Mrs. Dolly Sprunger for their Christmas party. The rooms were decorated with a Christmas tree and holly. Following a carry-in dinner the meeting was called to order by the vice-president, Miss Wanda Mann. Mrs. Rprunger led the group in singing and devotions. During the business meeting it was decided upon to have capsule friends for the coming year. A gift exchange was then held. The hostesses were Mrs. Sprunger, Mrs. Ethel Brunner, Mrs. Phyllis McCullough, Mrs, Ruth Edgell, and Mrs, Louise Ray. WILMA HEATH MARRIED TO OSCAR H. WALLACE Mr. and 'Mrs. Wilson Heath of Dixon. O„ announced the marriage of-their youngest daughter, Wilma, to Oscar H,: Wallace, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wayace of Fort Wayne.j> The couple was married Monday at 2 o’clock in Fort Wayne. The newly-wed# will reside at 516 l ,s Fairfield Ave. in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Wallace is a graduate of Convoy Union high school. DECATUR GARDEN CLUB IN RECENT MEETING Mrs. Robert Garard entertained the members of the Decatur Garden club recently, with Mrs. William Kohls presiding over the business meeting. The collect and verse of the month were read in unison. Twenty members answered roll call. A nominating committee consisting of Mrs Amos Ketchum, Mrs. Fred McConnell, and Mrs. N. A. Bixler will select a slate of officers to be presented at the January meeting. Mrs. (a. D. Mac Lean presented two interesting Christinas stories. Mrs. Earl Butler and Mrs. Garard gave a reading on “Christmas Treasure of Long Ago.” 'During the social hour the hostesses served refreshments in keeping with the holiday season. A gift exchange followed. Mrs. Martin Ziriimerman was ag uest at the

meeting and Mrs. G. T. Burk won tne door prize. tv CHRISTMAS PARTY HELD BY AUXILIARY The Eagles auxiliary held their Christmas party intently at the Eagles hall. The tables were decorated in keeping with Christmas. Christmas enrols by Donna Kay and Deanna Small, aceampanied by Mrs. Dorothy Roop. Santa Claus aryive'and gifts were exchanged.. Prizes were won by Lucille Bodie, Pauline Hoffman, Edna Davison, Ada Welty, and jOrafue Teeple. Anna Myers and Bertha Kramer were-Jn charge of the affair. The next regular meeting will be December 28 at 8 o'clock at the Eagles hall. The lodge and auxiliary remembered the patients at the Adams county , home with ChrisUnas candy ands ruit. LOYAL DAUGHTERS CHRISTMAS PARTY The Loyal Daughters class of Bethany E. U. B. church held their Christmas party at the home of Mrs. Wm. Dellinger Tuesday night. Mrs. Wm. Hamma was assisting hostess. A pot luck supper was held- at 6:00 o’clock. The tables were, laid in Christmas appointments with miniature reindeer as -favors. Mrs. James Staley was in charge of the evening program. Mrs. Wm. Hamma read the Christmas story and gave a prayer. A Christmas exchange was held, the class presented Mrs. Dellinger and Mi's. Hamma, teachers of the class, a gift. Each member of the class was presented a potted plant by the teachers. Mrs. Robert Garard and Mrs. Ora Newhard wilt be hostesses for the January meeting. CHRISTMAS DINNER IS HELD BY TRI KAPPAS The Tri, Kappa sorority held their Christmas dinner party Tuesday evening at’ the Legion home. The tables were gaily decorated with pine boughs, bronzed wire Christmas trees containing decorations tied on the branches. Each member was given a miniature sleigh containing a candy ♦

The auxiliary sen money to the V. F. W. national home at Eaton Rapids, Mich, for Christmas seals anl also bought a TB bond from the local Alains county chapter. _ Civil defense chairman Ruth Railing and hospital chairman Glennys Martz reported ou their c«smmittees. Committees for the next social meeting January 3, will bf Audrey Ballard, Bessie Upmerenke, and Ethel Gaffer. The Kuni-Join-Us class of the Bethany Evangelical Fitted Brethren church held their Christmas party last evening at, the church. A potluck supper was held and slides taken at the Amsterdam Holland International flower show were shown. A ten cent gift exchange was held and the Rev; B. J. Thomas presented "The Other Wiseman,” by Henry Van Dyke. The Rosary Society met Monday evening for their annual Christmas party with 85 members present. The tables weie decorated in keeping with the holidays. The Very Rev, Msgr. J. J. Seimetz extended seasons greetings to the organization and thanked them for donating the crib.
