Mrs. Mitchel, county chairman of the mental health association, stated that the Christmas project is just one of several projects carried on by the group throughout the year. Others include the legislative project, and the forgotten patients project. The organization represents the interests of the 16,000 .patients in Indiana's ten mental hospitals, she emphasized. The public Is invited to attend the Christmas party for the patients at the Fort Wayne training school,- originally scheduled for December 19 at 2 p.m., Mrs. Mitchell said, but that a quarantine may necessitate a change in date. The ladies who took part in the project stated that they felt that they had already had their Christmas because of the good feeling it gave them to help those in the mental hospitals, many of whom never have any other contact with the outside world.
