Burglary is on the increase Are you fully protected ? If thieves broke into your home or office tonight would you be insured? If not your friends can always offer you sympathy. It is a nice friepdly gesture but doesn't pay many bills. Burglary losses this year will exceed any since the depression years, the present record Indicates. Careful locking and ordinary safety devices'Will diicourage the amateur burglars, but a determined professional, with a little nerve and luck, frequently breaks into the best guarded homes, offices and stores. That they are usually caught In the long run doesn't repair the damage or replace the thefts. Only insurance can do this. • . New modern simplified home and business policies are now available for as little or as much coverage as you need. Home policies start as low as >7.50. In a special meeting of the National Basketball Association clubowners in New York Friday night, permission was granted the Bullets, to discontinue operating for a year, withall their players to be lend - li?We around the league meanwhile. If Baltimore raises enough money to keep the franchise going next year, al lits players revert back to the Bullets. If not, the dispersal is permanent. Second choice in the player dispersal went to Rochester, who chose 6-foot-7 Don Hendriksen. Others to go in the first round were. 6-foot-2 Paul Hoffman to New York. 6-foot-8 rookie center Bob Houbregs to Boston, 6-foot-8 Con-

U. S. DEMANDS (ConUiiuecl Lruun Onts) 13 prisoners. The airmen were shot down behinu enemy hues during the Korean war. As the state department awaited Peiping s response, bitter denunciations of the sentences were heatu at the United Nations and in Britain. U. S. Ambassador Henry Cabot Lodge, describing the prison terms as “an act of barbarism,” delivered a written protest to the UN tor distribution to all 60 members voicing indignation over the imprisonment of the Americans. In London, where efforts have been underway to heal the breach between the U. S. and Red China, British minister of state Anthony Nutting branded the action "outrageous.” Meanwhile, the Peiping radio claimed that the 13 prisoners had "admitted to having received specialized training in espionage and guerrilla warfare."
