BARBARA KELLY WEDS, SATURDAY The Pleasant Valley Wesleyan Methodist church was the scene of the marriage of Miss Barbara A. Kelly to Marion E. Sipe, both of Decatur. The marriage took place Saturday evening With the ■Rev. Gail R. Shaw officiating. Mrs. Donald Corey was the matron of honor and Donald Corey was the best man. The couple 'Will reside in Decatur on Grant street. MISS CLEVA JANE WEAVER BRIDE OF JOSEPH MYERS The Rev. Frank Sandersons officiated for the double-ring ceremony which united In marriage Miss Cleva Jane Weaver, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Weaver of Convoy, 0.. to Joseph Myers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Myers of Monroeville. The wedding took place Saturday evening in the Middlebury Methodist church. The bride was attired In a two piece winter green knit suit with white angora, trini and brown accessories. She wore a corsage of white baby mums. Miss Barbara Weaver, sister of the bride, attended a* maid of honor and she wore a pink knit suit and a. corsage of pink rose buds. Ralph Myers, Jr. of Monroeville was the best man. One hundred guests were present at the reception following the ceremony with Mrs. Robert Zinn, Mrs. John Weaver, Jr., Mrs. Robert Feasel, Mrs. Arthur Holler, Mrs. Paul Weaver, and Miss Phyllis Weaver serving. The bride is a graduate of Wren high school and is employed with the Wren Box company. The bride.roeville high school and !s e.ngroom was graduated from Monployed by the International Harvester company. After the couple return from Norfolk, Virginia, they will reside at Monroeville.

FLO KAN COUNCIL HOLDS INSPECTION The Flo Kan Council No. 22 Sunshine Girls met Sunday for inspection and initiation. The inspector was Iva Weasner,' past grand counsellor from Marion. She was presented with j gift from the council. The new members are Mary Alice Kneuss, Jackie Burke, Carolyn Taylor, Deanne Small, and Scarlet Ann Feasal, After the meeting approximately 30 members and guests were served refreshments by Vera Barber. Mabel Striker. Harriet Pollock, and Faye Ahr. The Halloween theme was used. The next regular meeting will be held November 8 at the K. of P. home. PATRICIA JEAN KELLY • WEDS JACK RICHARDS Patricia Jean Kelly became the bride of Jack Richards in a dou-ble-ring ceremony Saturday evening at the Home of the bridegroom's parents. The parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Kelly of Geneva and Mr. and Mrs. !>ester Richards of Decatur. The bride wore a blue faille suit with black accessories. Mrs. Woodrow Kelly was the matron of honor and she wore a coral dress with black accessories. The best man was Woodrow Kelly. A reception was held immediately following the ceremony with Miss Colleen Kelly, Mrs. Helen Alexander of Michigan, and Mrs. Davis Riesen of Berne serving the guests. The couple will make their home with the bridegroom's parents for the present. Mrs. Ervin Lochner, was called upon and she showed the scrap book which she had prepared of the history and organization of the different clubs w’hich proved very interesting. A memorial for Mrs. Hlriam Wittwer was read by, Mrs. Harry Crownover of the Better Homes Club, and Mrs. Elmer Golllff read a memorial for Mrs. Hubert Ehrsam of the Jolly Housewives Club, deceased members of thdi past year. Mrs. Theron Fenstermaker, president of the Adams county demonstration clubs, was called upon sor o a few remarks. She gave a brief review of the work done in the county during the past year By the home demonstration clubs. She then introduced the new home agent, Miss Bertha Landis. Mrs. Eli Graber, nominating committee chairman gave a slate of officers of which the following were elected: president, Mrs. John Leyse; vice-president, Mrs. Holman Egley; secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Wm. kruetzman. The meeting was then turned over the program chairman, Mrs. Ralph Miller, who presented a program. Mrs. Robert Lane, president of the council, presided over tire business meeting. Mary Meyers was elected the new treasurer for the year. Mrs. John Holthouse, as a new delegate, was present, making the attendance complete. The meeting adjourned with the closj2ng rii.uaL Refreshments were served by the hostess. The' next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Francis Ellsworth. KAY SLUSSER HONORED. WITH BRIDAL SHOWER Miss Kay Slusser was honored last Wednesday evening with a bridal shower given by Eileen Black at her home. The evening was spent by playing games and giving of prizes. ACHIEVEMENT NIGHT IS PLANNED TUESDAY The Washington Township Farm Bureau will hold achievement night with a turkey supper Tuesday evening at 6:30 o'clock at the Adaipa Central school. All 4-H members and thejr families are invited and all Farm Bureau members and families also. Those attending are asked to bring a basket supper and their cwii table service. The Farm Bureatr will furnish roast turkey, dressing, rolls, coffee, milk, and orange drink. • ' ' Three door prizes will be given and all members are urged to attend. The Gals and Pals home demonstration club will meet Monday at o’clock at the home of Mrs. Paul McCullough. Report 172 Ballots Mutilated Tuesday A check of the. official election tally sheets for township, .county, and state races in Adams county, shows that 172 ballots were' reported mutilated and not counted. Nearly a dozen precincts failed to report whether or not any mutilated ballots were left uncounted. Each taJly sheet, which is filled in by the precinct election board, has clear directions which explain how each protested vote is to be registered, but only two of the precincts reporting protested votes bothered to comply with the law.
